I also took control of when I'd be inevitably bald. After 2nd treatment of red devil, I had a little bit of stubble from shaving my head just before treatment 2. It was the way to go for me, rather than all the hair falling out all over the house. It ALL grew back! Began growing back before I finished my 8th round 6 months later. I wore caps, berets and tams, at work. No one minded! Be free, you look so cute and nice. 💗. Lovely.

Yes, it became very painful watching it come out in handfuls, not to mention messy! I was cleaning up so much hair that it was better to just shave it off. I actually start red devil next week! These last 12 weeks have been Abraxane & Carboplatin. I’m scared, but ready to start red devil next week which will go thru end of July.

@@saradever8912 red devil isn't bad. I was Queezy but zofran did the trick to give me control. I was on my sisters wedding after 2nd treatment - I wore a short tapered wig, from a wig salon and I looked nice and felt fine. I had a port, also. I was tired around round 3, but hey, I also was a working woman! I was 40, I worked at a big law firm, with a commute on a train. Work bosses were nice to me. There was no remote working in 1996. I had treatment on every third Friday and I took off that following Monday. I also took tamoxifen for five years following treatment and had no side effects other than hot flashes. It induced menopause at age 40 but I'm 68 now and going strong. The "Red Devil” is doxorubicin (Adriamycin) and it got its name from its red color. Hope you tolerate it ok.

@@saradever8912 and I had carboplatin in conjunction with Adriamycin along with cytotoxin. All 3 at same time. I had mastectomy with tramflap reconstruction! Bathing suits, strapless gowns, yoga tops, yes!

Thank you for the encouragement. The struggle is definitely real! I just completed round #8 chemo and have minimum 8 more to go, then surgery. This certainly has been a life changing experience! I’m gonna beat it!!!

Hi, I just got the news three weeks ago that I also have triple negative breast cancer. was not expecting that news since I just had a complete knee replace a month before. I have bean so blessed to have friends all over the usa that are praying for me..I have told them that I am on a journey and they are part to the journey. I know I will have good days and also bad days. I know that God has put me on this journey and I know that He will carry me when I am not Abel to walk and he will hold my hand when I need his comfort. I let my friends know how I am doing every two weeks, cause they are part of the journey and need to know how the journey is going. I know that God is in control and I am trusting Him.. I don't write comments on KZfaq but felt I wanted to share what I am going through. I have found that after each treatment, I have a time of tons on energy for some reason, then a. day ao two I have side affects. I will put you on my prayer list and will lift you up in prayer daily. remember, you are not alone on your journey. You have friends that are on your journey with you. God bless at this time and remember, God loves you. If you want me to my friends pray for you and to go on this journey together, let me know. I am 79 and and have lived a very full live.

That is my prayer that God would heal us as he did in the Bible. Remember he is the same yesterday,today and tomorrow. He is the almighty God. I praise for the good things and for the bad stuff that is what he asks us to do. And it is not easy to thank him for cancer. But we must because he says it in his word. Praying for you everyday. @@michelleminniti874 I tested negative for the gene and a total of 84 genes negative. No family history too so no idea where this cancer came from.

Mucha fuerza, el cabello vuelve a crecer. Yo en el año 2018 tuve cáncer de ovarios, también me dieron quimioterapia, y en el año 2022 metástasis en el bazo, y también me dieron quimio, terminé el tratamiento en Septiembre de 2022, ya tengo mi cabello.

Thank you so much! It’s starting to grow back, but will be doing 6 more months of chemo starting in November so I might lose it again. It’s ok if I do, I didn’t mind being bald. 😊

You are brave and strong. I would recommend that you look into an integrative approach in battling your breast cancer 🎀 Through integrative medicine; you have a much better chance of long lasting remission! I would recommend Dr James Forsythe MD of Reno, Nevada!
