This guy is better than Carter. He's more on the level with Vinnie Colaiuta, Jojo Mayer, and Virgil Donati. Freaking ridiculous technique, and precision.

I somehow missed this when I went through and watched a bunch of your videos. Brother, I love me some Carter B, but you killed it with such a small footprint! I didn’t even miss the 300 toms and 9000 cymbals Carter uses. Hats off to you man! That was super fun to listen to!!

I think because DMB isn't as viral but it definitely is musical. El Step talked about his use of viral songs to play into KZfaqs algorithm.. and it worked. Unfortunately, I think he had to sacrifice not playing some of the musical greats like DMB to do it

You were quite respectful of the key Carter things in this song (and those are A LOT) but gave it the Estepario twist in a couple parts and made it your own in an super elegant way... beautiful to listen and watch, thanks for this. One of my favorite bands. I have struggled trying to play this song for years. Watching you play this, as hard as you play, and seeing how you played it with a smaller kit turned my light bulb 💡 on. Hermano, es quiza una de las canciones que mas deseaba que hagas. Creo que todos recordamos haber visto la performance de Beauford en ese DVD con su Yamaha negra dejándola chiquita con este pedazo de tema. Increíble como la has armado, abrazo y buenas vibras desde Argentina!

I watched under the table and drumming 25 times in its entirety. also listener supported on VHS a dozen or so. I don't even play drums. i love carter's contribution to dmb. i usually can't even listen to covers or cover bands because he's very difficult to cover imo. this was excellent.

Great cover, Estepario! you managed to keep that amazing groove! Tripping billies, a song about Dave Matthews' first acid trip. Pay atention to the chorus:"Eat, Drink, be merry, For Tomorrow we die". Live in the moment, my friends. Also this is a trip down memory lane, back when there was no KZfaq, and the only drumming videos you could get where the odd hudson music clips. One of those amazing 240p clips that I watched hundreds of times back in the day was a play along of this track by Carter Beauford.
