After the death of the last ruling King, Bir Bikram Kishore Debbarman in 1947, a Council of Regency was formed to run the administration under the presidency of Queen Kanchan Prava (Prabha) Devi. Its very unfortunate that our state Tripura has lost a large portion of lands (Chittagong, Comilla, etc.) To Bangladesh, but surprisingly no one is talking about it, it seems that people of Tripura have already forgotten about this fact. Even, legendary singer Sachin Dev Barman was born in Comilla District. If Chittagong was a part of Tripura now, it would have been far more prosperous economically.

Thank you Lallantop team for showing our history. We want more videos about our past, In Tripura 1960 to 1972 in between lakhs of Bangladeshi came as a refugee in Tripura or other Northeast State, & our grandparents gave them food , shelters everything & That time Indira Gandhi says that after the war they must go back to Bangladesh....But they didn't go back to Bangladesh. Now in Tripura that's why We Tripuri people became minority in 1940 we were 90% Tripuri people but now we became 30% Because of Bangladeshi.& They Still coming by crossing border .....plzzzz We neeed Greater Tipraland & NRC pllzzzz support us...They must go back to Bangladesh. Jai Hind 🇮🇳✊

If those Bengalis didn't came to Tripura then you and your native tripuri tribe would have been the same less educated tribes as in other states....But what's your problem with them being living in their state...Not all Bengalis are Bangladeshi and if they have a majority whats the problem your tribe has been provided with ADC areas....

East pakistan & Bangladesh were a part of undivided India only, But Tripura was not a part of greater (undivided) Hindustan before 1949... It means that they were Indians from a very long time but you people became citizens of India after 1949 , you Tribals are not native to India ...India was divided on the basis of religion, this means that the Bangladeshi & Pakistani Hindus were recognised to be Indians at that time... During partition muslims of Tripura exchanged their properties with Hindus of East Pakistan ( Bangladesh) ... This means that there were significant amount of non Tribal population in Tripura before partition also

Sachin dev barman's Father also a crown prince of tripura state.But his Uncle Maharaja Bir chandra Maikya took the Throne force fully.That's why SB Barman's father can in British presidency area of tripura where SD Barman born in 1906. If his father had been a king he would have been a king too.But the happy thing is that he didn't become a king but he got the status of the best lyricist of India by singing with his talent and talent.🥰
