Emma sounds like exactly what she IS. A privileged young woman that has never HAD to worry about where her next meal is coming from or what is or isnt in her bank account. Imo her KZfaq channel was just a hobby that caught on at the right time and now as a young adult shes having to deal with the ramifications irl of sharing so much online. Now people know who she is and will continue to have an opinion as long as she keeps herself in the public eye. I dont think Trisha cares one way or another on a deeper level what Emma does, shes commenting on whatever Oscar thinks are the 'hot topics' of the moment.

it's so bizarre to me when rich people say that they don't want/need to know how much money they have because they don't need to buy a yacht or a private jet etc.... Like no, you don't need to spend your money on those things, but those things are not the only things money can be used for.... you can use this money for charity. And knowing how much money you have can make a difference between a 1000$ donation and a 100 000$ donation . Knowing how much money you have can make a difference between helping 3 person on go fund me and 300 people...

This argument is irrelevant to be honest. Charity isn’t only for rich people. It’s for people who HAVE MONEY and want to spend it on a good cause. With Emma’s editing style it’s a sticky topic. I think that at the time people really just loved hating on a teen girl’s interest and or simply existing. I don’t think she copied anyone and nor is that style completely original, really really doubt she plagiarised that. Two people can have the same idea at the same time and she was vilified for basically popularising it, adds to my point that people at the time were just hating on the PERSON (aka a popular teen girl) and not really the editing style

It also puts a tremendous burden on her mom. I mean, your mom? Emma, how old are you? Also, you don't have to have planes, trains, and designer clothes, but how about doing some good with what you're framing as a ton of money? Let's face it. You got rich off of a trend. Everyone has their own way of managing themselves and their stuff so no way is really out of touch in my opinion and when it comes to the whole video style it seems like such a minor thing that for the most part Emma does not even care about so I’d say Trisha is completely off on this one. Kinda seemed like it was a slow week for “celebrity drama” so Trisha has to focus on something and Emma was what she landed on.

Honestly this system makes sense for Emma, she clearly had a spending problem and was buying way more then she needed at some point, all the huuuge thrift hauls and buying extra suitcases to fit all her purchases during trips. Clearly she’s someone who would spend because she had the money, because she could. I definitely know people like that especially ones with adhd that have spending problems and will spend whatever they have on their accounts and end up unable to buy for and pay for bills. I know people who keep their savings with their parents cuz they know they can’t be trusted to not spend it. The whole thing seems reasonable to me, especially considering taxes aren’t deducted each month in the us, and is payed of once a year, that can definitely complicate your finances and knowing how much you actually have to spend

Duh. Money hoarding is absolutely disgusting. Buying what you need is one thing, get the big house and nice car. Pay your taxes and keep enough to support yourself. The rest should literally be poured out of their pockets and into something good. There's way to many homeless people way to many kids in foster care They have the money to make big changes. Why don't they? Because they are selfish money hoarding goons. Donating to charity doesn't count either. It's just a tax break for them.

People who are obsessed with Emma not being “relatable” anymore are so delusional lol. DUH, of course she’s not relatable anymore, she’s a megarich celebrity/model. Just because you can’t relate to her life doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy her content or the products she creates. I’ve never even watched her channel and I’m getting tired of it 😂

It’s a learning opportunity, if Emma doesn’t know how to manage the money she has by looking at it one day when her parents aren’t supporting her or things change people could be making moves with your money that you don’t understand because you think your being smart and frugal by not looking but you’re actually doing yourself a diservice and probably screwing yourself over in the long run

If you had self control, you would look at your finances without falling to the urge of spending it on things you don’t need. If you think that even just knowing the numbers of what is in your bank account may cause you to spend it on a not-so-frugal choice, that definitely ain’t self control.
