Just in case you don't already know the T214 is a Commemorative Edition, only 1000 were built. If you have one, she's a keeper. I am keeping mine.

Just finished participating in a Triumph research group. If they build the 1800-2000 cc beast I saw it'll be a winner. It's a combination of old looks with modern technology.

You are saying everything I am thinking. So many "special" editions, none of them are special. I still like Triumph, but if I wanted a classic I would go for a Thruxton. If I wanted the most fun experience I could get, I would take that new Street Triple Rx. But for now, my 2012 CBR1000RR will just have to do. :-p

I feel like with this T214 they're really grasping for straws....I mean, wow...ace cafe commemoration is one thing, that stands out as a mark in all history, same with like a steve mcqueen edition or something, but this? Wow. I say buy a base and make it what you want.

You need to realize this bike is not aimed at some Young hipster who would be happier on an adventure bike or crotch rocket riding a wheelie up the road. It is aimed at old geezers that grew up idolizing guys like Bud Ekins or Steve McQueen and know what the 214 stands for,who Jack Wilson was,and remembers pictures of "The Texas Cigar" in Cycle magazine. Besides I have seen a few younger riders on the newer Bonnies and still more riding around on the older kick start,drum brake Meriden bikes.

So yea date me man... do you like the 865 Bonnie's or are they not your style? Also if the Bonnie series both old and new... what is your favorite now in 2017?
