Great video. We are huge fans of the Triumph Tiger 900. The Rally Pro in particular has been a real stand out as the "middle weight" ADV market matures. Thank you the shout out Dana. You did end up getting the first one of this color way. We thank you for all the support!

The Quad Lock is so great. The ram mounts always have my Phone vibrating all over the place. With the Quad lock its solid as can be. Why not simply keep the phone in the tank bag? I always keep in that (there is a phone holder in like every tank bag) and have never had problems or worries, so why worry about dropping the phone or add extra holders to the bike for it? It can be taken away from the tank bags quickly. I never use phone while driving anyway, and even if I did, Rally Pro can handle the calls with the throttle controls when you connect the phone to it, and you can do that with gloves on unlike tapping the screen during drive.

@@MotoPhotoAdventures @adventureundone Well for my requirements ,The Tiger is definitely a superior bike in terms of Specs, Components and Build. However, Engine Heat, Reliability and Maintainance were the only Red Flags for me. What do you think of the above negatives in comparison to the the Honda TA?
@MotoPhotoAdventures
@MotoPhotoAdventures 6 ай бұрын

@@MotoPhotoAdventures I agree about it being to a little early to have definite picture about Transalp's long term performance. What about the Triumph Tiger. How has it's reliability and maintenance been for you? I have clicked close to 60K miles on my KTM in the last 4 years; had a lot of small and frustrating niggles and issues with it.
@MotoPhotoAdventures
@MotoPhotoAdventures 6 ай бұрын
@@2-WheelsMoveTheSoul as you saw in the video, the Rally Pro 900 belongs to my friend Dana, who I was interviewing about it. He had nothing but praise for the bike. Unfurtunately a few months ago he was hit by a distracted driver, which totaled his bike. He was injured pretty good, but has healed nicely. He ended up buying a smaller Triumph Scrambler for now because he didn't want another "big bike" yet. But I think eventually he'll be ready for one. I personally sold my Honda CB500X and bought an Aprilia Tuareg 660. I was thinking about the Transalp. But the Aprilia just seems to do everything better, and has so many more features than the Transalp or the Tenere! I absolutely LOVE IT!!!

After owning my Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro for 8 months now and after trying out so many things, there remains to be a BIG compromise to me. There seems to be no decent way to mount a Garmin or Tom Tom GPS on eye level position. I tried mounting on handlebars....no thank you (to dangerous to look down all the time) I tried this Evotech mount...no thank you( the screen vibration makes it totaly unreadable). I think the mounting spots used by evotech are not the way to go. TEST ? ....Start your engine and feel the difference with your fingers around 2500 RPM, comparing on a mid handlebar spot and a top windscreen spot. There's the problem with the tiger 900 Please, if anyone has a solution, send it, post it, comment it, suggest it

Are you on pavement or off most of the time? Main reason I ask is if your sitting or standing most of the time. I’ve experimented with a few different mounts and mounting positions and I’ve found that their isn’t one mount that’s good for everything. The main reason my garmin is mounted on low on my bars is that it’s in a position where I can see it while sitting and still take a quick glance if I’m off pavement or in technical terrain.

wow you have owned/test ridden a lot of bikes, before settling on the Tiger 900. couldn't make up your mind. I find that unusual to be honest. Me personally, I know what I like...on paper....looking back I bought the bikes I wanted, before even seeing on in real life often. DRZE, I knew that was the bike for me, The T7, only saw one on the road a few times at speed, etc. I am not a believer in the test ride. Lke a guitar player in the music shop....they aren't new anymore. Better to just have some faith in the engineers and make the bike work for you with your skill set...I mean...how bad can they be, and are they really all that different. "part of the riding off road" is dropping it....are you another one of those....does that include breaking your leg being "part of it", or breaking your back trying to lift it off the ground....I don't know....seems non sense like.

@@Jason_MotoPhotoAdventures here’s a video suggestion for you. Do a comparo between the Suzuki VStrom 650 and the Tiger 900 Rally Pro. After the usual discussion on specs and all that nonsense, talk about the important intangibles like how the bikes “feel” focusing on rideability, mass centralisation / center of gravity. On paper, these bikes don’t belong to the same segments. Also hardcore off road nutjobs will disregard the VStrom as not having enough off road chops. But here is the thing; the VStrom is a venerable bike that has a huge fan following. It has amazingly low center of gravity (that no one talks about) and bulletproof reliability (that everyone talks about) which will allow it to outlast most owners life spans. Literally nothing happens to the bike despite all the crap that we throw at it (check this out @7:28 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hdCWpLF-z8qyloU.html). Really, the VStrom 650 is the proverbial wife that no one wants to divorce despite many one night stands with other alleged hotties. Moving on, most VStrommers never take their bike off-road; and yet they value the fact that their bike comes with spokes and tubeless tires because sometimes the roads just disappear in many parts of the world whether we like it or not. Indeed, many urban scapes often offer worse surfaces than the dirt tracks do. So the spokes and tubeless tires and the 150mm travel are very welcome. But having said all that, for many VStrom owners the itch to own a bigger bike is very real because they perceive their bike as small (ahem…. read no more into that line than necessary please 😒). But when they look around, they don’t see a viable upgrade path. 🥱 The 1250 GS is horribly expensive. The Multistradas come with alloys and, wait for it… are expensive. The Africa Twin famously has spoke wheel issues (www.africatwinforum.com/threads/rims-cracking-at-spoke-entry-area.40080/ ; facebook.com/groups/611446829063765/ ; kzfaq.info/get/bejne/m792gcSFmuC8c58.html). And the new Tigers are supposedly vibey, run super hot in traffic, and sorely lack road presence. Brands like KTM and Norden aren’t available everywhere in the world. Frankly if the bigger VStrom 1050xt were available in all markets, the 650 guys would buy it without even a test ride. Alas, the 1050 is an elusive beast in Asian markets. Long story short, there are many VStrommers in Asia and elsewhere, who are scouring the web hoping that someone will do a comparison video of the smaller VStrom with the Tiger 900s and the 1250GSes (which are available and are supported with after sales networks in their markets). These guys are hoping someone will truthfully say that at least one of the bigger Advs is equal to their amazing Strom in the mass centralisation and reliability. Cheers

@@MotoPhotoAdventures personally I think OM makes great products. The crashbars for the BMW GS are the best, hands down. The Tiger's frame design doesn't give many options on this subject. After discovering broken frame mounting bolts, I opted to keep the lower bars on the bike. Those. along with Bark Busters, I've had several falls without issue. My main problem with OM is their lack of acknowledgement, They know their bars are a potentially high risk, but continue to sell without care. I got a refund, but only after much debate. Thanks for the response!

@@SO2011BR I would agree 100%. My riding buddies, Jason (V-Stom) and Steve (Africa Twin), both have OM protection and luggage racks. Both are very happy with the product, which looks amazing too! I think the 900 Rally Pro is just an anomaly due to mounting points.
