Hi! I'm not sure if this was a part of the medical support denied to stop your periods, or if you live somewhere without free healthcare which makes this too expensive, but some birth controls can help stop your period! I have endometriosis as well, and I've been on Mirvala year round for the past 4 years and it's helped a lot! You break through occasionally, but the pain is a lot lighter when you do. Worth looking into if it hasn't been yet. Good luck!

I know he didn’t mean anything by it. He’s genuinely a good dad but I swear men just don’t understand how incredibly hard it is to deal with all the stuff that comes with having a period. Especially when you have underlying conditions that make it more difficult.

Personally my periods have never been very painful (some cycles I don't get a single cramp) but some of my friends in highschool had absolutely terrible pain every month. One friend had PCOS and one had endometriosis and they were not on the same plane of existence some days... normally they'd be talkative and fun but on those days they were totally silent. I felt so bad for them :( I'm still very close with them and they've figured out better pain management- like my one friend never gets her period because of the birth control she's taking, and she says it's such a relief.
@giupinkfairy8 ай бұрын
Or the typical "oh it's because you're in your time of the month", because they know that by saying PERIOD it just shows how ignorant, insensitive and careless they are. Like, no, Larry, i had my period last week, I'm pissed off cause my boss is a jerk, I'm underpaid, the cat/dog needs (an expensive) vet visit, you ate all the food and can't even wash the dishes...

I had my period for 45 days straight once, after two years of having them be no shorter than 10 days, along with severe groin pain. I was on my period more often than I wasn't for big chunks of time, and my OB just said, "oh that can happen sometimes...". Like WHAT?!?! I cycled through 3 more OBGYNs and none of them thought it was something that needed to be addressed immediately, and said I basically just had to deal with it for the rest of my life and there was nothing they could do. It is absolutely asinine that the majority of us still get blatantly ignored by the medical system as a whole when it comes to major issues regarding all that, and most other medical crap too.

@@sarabear888 that resonates with me so much. I have PCOS I’ve had an IUD since I was 15 (I’m 23) and it prevented sooo much, it regulated my period enough that a tracker can accurately tell me close to when it’s going to start (I still bleed at least once every three weeks though) It just expired in June and I haven’t gotten it replaced yet. I’ve always had pretty uncomfortable cramps, I’d say 6/10 enough to make me flinch but not impact my everyday life. Now my cramps are 10/10, I have very visceral physical reactions to the cramps now- I will literally collapse to the floor and just sit in fetal position until they stop. It feels like I’m being stabbed with a dull knife, to put it lightly. I can not empathize enough how much BC changes my entire lifestyle and allows me to live normally like everyone else
