I don't think Willam's account was wrong by any means (although I do believe she could've amp'ed some stuff up for dramatic effect), I do believe her telling that to the world surely made them rethink their approach with the Queens PAs - at least once they started to realize how big the show would've become, and they started doing All Stars, meaning they had to play nice to actually make the Queens want to come back.

Well, the show itself was pretty low budget at the time. I myself have worked in a local tv station (low budget) and what she pointed felt accurate to what I've seen in my time, specially people being jerks, lil tv big ego. One of the hosts was Miranda Pristley in flesh, a local tv station, in Brazil country-side.

Hi Trixie, 10-1 as in bathroom break is actually walkie talkie lingo which dates back to filming, well, films! And before that it was military walkie lingo. Also used by police walkie talkies and CB radios. A big 10-4 buddy.

I think Pearl doesn’t quite get that Ru wasn’t being a jerk when she said that… she’s literally just a professional doing her job, which is to run a wildly successful TV empire. I’m not saying Ru is a saint, because obviously not. I’m just saying that I always thought Pearl took that specific comment a little too personally.

There's actually a study that proves that pink walls (especially when you'll be in that space for a long period of time) inicially increases tranquility, but after a while increases the level of aggression and stress, and I think that is the main objective of the production lol

I work in the film industry! 10-1 (10-100) is radio code for pee (10-2, is well, a number 2 but no one generally uses this code) It's just a more private and polite way of telling your team/crew you're stepping away for a bathroom break.

10 codes vary from field to field. They’re walkie talkie lingo that go from 10-1 to 10-20 usually, as a way to facilitate communication. So the meanings of each 10 code vary depending on what information ppl usually need to convey in the corresponding industry/field. On set, using the first 10 code (10-1) as a quick bathroom break is usually also accompanied with using 10-2 as a longer bathroom break… just cause, ya know. number 1 and number 2. Originally 10-1 in walkie talkie lingo meant “bad reception” or “unreadable transmission” but I guess in the age of technology, we dont need to say it that often anymore. lol. 🤓

It's funny how similar my experience with Painted With Raven was. Even though it was not in person there was a lot of waiting and Hard Ice. The producers were super accommodating, I agree! Funny they called our makeup looks from the main challenge "Runway" behind the scenes. No, it's a confessional edited over the clip of them walking. The only time they would is challenges like the superheroes in as1 l, fairytale design one in s9 or the inner saboteur one from s10 where they had to actually write a monologue for their characters. Other questions: how long r u on stage getting critiques from the judges? How long are u actually backstage filming untucked?
