It's great, isn't it? Though I absolutely don't mind their ads, since they need to make money to compensate for the work of everybody involved. Plus they do put some thought into delivering and placing the ads, the "little girl" voice they do cracks me up every time. And I really appreciate them keeping the video visual available on youtube and not putting it behind a paywall (unlike Bob and Monet's shows for example, mind you they already have ads on their visual-less youtube video - more power to them, but I can't afford Patreon, I'm already using KZfaq premium). The visuals make it a better experience, even though it's just them sitting still and talking, I still find it more enjoyable.

Travel can throw things into perspective. Workers have definitely been getting ripped off in the US, but Mexico? A fraction of the income and "low prices". It can be a mind-fuck to be a "poor student" in the US and scrape the $ together for a cheap inclusive package weekend in PV and when you get there, realize in your pocket is like a week's wages for 12 people..... You're simultaneously RRRRIICH! and just getting by.

@@juliantapia1407 Honestly, doesn't sound too bad. The surgeon/surgeons would be watched by a very LARGE crowd of people in real time, some of those people could be fellow surgeons or other medical professionals. That should (in theory) leave less room for error, like accidentally leaving an instrument inside of a patient, or things like mistreating/crudely handling a patient's body, and preventing medical staff from talking rudely or insensitively about a patient under anesthesia. All of the aforementioned things happen during surgeries all the time, so maybe this would hold surgeons and medical staff more accountable to do their best, or suffer being sued, fired, etc. And you get a discount? I think I'm into it...😅

@@KrayzieAries There's nothing to stop you coming to Australia for surgery if you had the right type of visa, however it wouldn't be free for you because you're not a permanent resident or citizen. You could come & pay to be treated in the private system: the standard of care would be comparable to the U.S., but your bills would be dramatically smaller. Googling "medical tourism Australia" can probably answer a lot of your questions. Good luck!

It's crazy bc Tramadol works great for some ppl as pain relief (me) but its still absolutely as physically habituating as regular opiates (in fact, I've heard from some ppl, its much harder to withdraw from due to the way it acts on the receptors in our brains). Trixie taking care of Katya is the best 🥰

It kinda made me sad that Katya doesn't know what the writers strike is even about. And Trixie didn't know enough to correct Katya, despite having friends who are writers. Let me explain: The royalty checks are only good if your work is on cable networks. If you're solely on streaming networks, the royalties are literal pennies. That's why "HBO Max" recently became "Max." Because HBO was a cable network, and they wanted to become a purely streaming network to save money on writer royalties. The writers are getting screwed. Which is awful because being a writer, sometimes you work on a show for 3 months, and then can't get another gig for 4 months. If the show you wrote is popular, and the studio is making a fortune from it (such as, let's say you only pay for Netflix to get Stranger Things), you deserve to get paid enough to at least get you through those 4 months. The strike is about evolving the industry so that writers are paid fairly in a streaming landscape. Edit: I should also add that even the writers who do write for cable television for things like late night, things are not the same as they used to be. You used to have provisions in contracts that guaranteed a certain amount of work and pay, etc. Things got worse for them, too. So there's a whole host of demands they're asking for, with streaming income being the most glaring problem. You guys can do your own research because I've already written a novel. Anyway, it just bummed me out that Katya seemed to dismiss the strike saying "the royalty checks are good." Maybe for you, sis! But the industry is changing and a lot of people are hurting, regardless of how popular the show they worked on is. And there is no show without the writers.

Maybe the guy was asking if you knew his actual friend & saviour Jesus (it being a popular name in Latin America)?

Hey Katya, I practiced Tae Kwon Do for 18 years and am about to get my Right hip replaced. . Had my left hip done when I was 57. My Ortho Doc said it is a common martial art repetitive strain injury. Hope you continue to recover well! BY the way, I am in Canada and it was free to me! Love you both...❤‍🩹🥋

Surgery is such a weird experience, ty Katya for showing us your wounds. 👀 I had a hysterectomy and appendectomy due to endometriosis and all I have to show for it is some tiny little chicken pox looking marks (they took the organs out thru the pre-existing hole 👀👀). Its freaky shit.
