...Pennsylvania is full of railroading history, but even today one can find some impressive mainlines crossing the state. One example is Norfolk Southern's Pittsburgh Line, which sees ample amounts of freight traffic on what used to be part of the Pennsylvania Railroad. Can this modern mainline shine in Microsoft Train Simulator?

Believe it or not, but the Pennsylvanian wasn't the only passenger train that ran on this route. There were long distance trains from Chicago to New York City via Philadelphia, PA. Those being the Broadway Limited, originally ran by the Pennsylvania Railroad and later the Penn Central from 1912 to 1971 and then by Amtrak from 1971 to 1995 and the Three Rivers which ran from 1995 to 2005.

Nick, You do a consistently good job of showing off the routes you feature. This video is no exception. Having helped with this route I was very proud to see this review. I agree, it's a hell of a job well done! Now, if I could just get you to start saying /rowt/ and not /root/.... ;-)

Well, you got me psyched, that's for sure. This video blew me away, not only with it's awesome content (which I was previously completely unaware of), but also the editing. As is the content in the route, you paid special attention to detail, VERY nice work with the editing. Glad to see another Adobe guy, my Premiere Pro CS4 has gotten me through just about everything, I'd use it over Final Cut and Avid every time. Oh how I wish the professional industry would think the same way as me on this...

I built the same route in Trainz.I started in 2004.Its still not finished.I got to att a few small details.The time frame for my route is 1981 to 2012.CR ripped up the #2 track on the curve in 1981 l e aving 3 tracks inplace.Thats how my route is modeled.My route runs from Harrisburg to Pittsburgh.I hope to have it ready for the simulator community by November this year.

This was one of the routes that were supposed to be in MSTS2. It's a shame Microsoft closed Aces Studios. Hopefully, Cascade Game Foundry will release it sometime. Railworks 3: Train Simulator 2012 looks VERY nice though.

I agree that this route is fantastic. However I must say that Open Rails is not friendly to this route. The stock I believe comes from MLT and SLI repaints, right? I certainly can't find anything else of this quality anywhere.

This old train simulator looks very good. A while ago I installed msts on my laptop but then uninstalled it because I did not have a manual and didn't really know how to install addons such as other trains, routes, etc... Does anyone know if msts allows you to use a dcc device to drive the train instead of using the real controls. It would be nice to take a break from trainz and try something different.

I am mad I downloaded this route but I crashes when it is loading? Anyone know why? I have BIN installed. I can load it in route editor but when I explode it on editor it crashes just pass MG and just before Brickyard.

So I spent the 34 damn hours downloading this route, it supposedly went successful and then when i FINALLY tried unzipping the file, it said that the file was either "in unknown format or damaged". What the hell went wrong is my question. I mean I don't enjoy having something download for that long to find out it didn't even work.

Hello Nicholas, congratulations for all your videos, about Route Horseshoe Curve, I downloaded it on trainsin, but it is giving error, Werfault.exe, is the only route that I have to the errors, I have several other routes ,example, Cajon Pass, Feather River Canyon and all are working, what do you think can be this error ? my computer, i5 3570 3.4 ghz, 8 gb ram, nvidia gt630 1gb video, thanks

Carlos Eduardo carlos do you have Microsoft Train simulator because what you just listed on the error is because you don't have 1. Not enough memory 2. Not big enough computer to run the route 3. not having Microsoft Train Simulator 4 Not meeting the Requirements to run the game and or graphics on the computer. Hope this helps

Carlos Eduardo i was going to suggest getting open rails for msts as all of the routes use open rails now. glad you got your problem solved and make sure to check out my channel.
