I’m surprised how few subscribers you’ve currently got. I just found your channel this week and I’m enjoying your relaxed but informative presenting style. I’m sure subscribers will rise quickly so keep doing what you’re doing 👍

yeah, me too. Tim is definitely an excellent bike journo. I don't guess he'll be sticking around with only 2000 subscribers for long.

I've wanted a new Triumph for a decade. Don't even really know why there's just something about them. The silver/red version looks good AND somehow it's the same price here in Au! The taxman must have missed it.. 11 new still left here. Thanks for showing it :)

You're correct about Triumph. In my 20+ years of riding, I've always had to replace a weakness on my motorcycles...not with the moto2 765. From the controls to the fueling, the precision and the tightness makes other brands feel sloppy. It's the perfect superbike. Buy it. I have no regrets owning #209. Haha, the 28-30 MPG sucks, but we don't buy these for fuel economy, do we?

I wish they had better attention to detail with the finish, coiled cabling, etc and made the fairing actually shaped like the Moto2 bikes

Why is price such a topic with this bike? You like, you buy. Great laid back review. Never seen one up close, but now own one that’s sitting at the Dealer’s 500kms away. Can’t wait for the ride home 😃

I lived on Oahu, paid a premium on mine, but I don't think about that when I'm riding lmao Riding a 765 is nice because you're riding Triumph's bespoke "best Daytona". Feels special. I love the carbon fiber. It's all people want to talk about it when they see it.

After finding your channel via the Trident test, you do appear to have a great channel. Audio quality, filming and presentation is better than some 100K channels. In my opinion KZfaq is where most people head to get their bike news. I do find it hard to understand who still buys the Bike mags and papers when the journalists who write them also make and present the vids where they give their views and opinions for free. Not sure this bike would have been built if Triumph hadn't done the Moto 2 deal. What's happened to Colours on Triumph bikes? My wife bought a Street Triple back in 2012 that was purple, guess too many focus groups saying we only want black or silver! As for Triumph sending out bikes on semi slick Super Corsa tyres, I just think its irresponsible. They must realise these bikes could be ridden in the cold and wet. I tested a Street Triple RS with them on in the wet and honestly I thought it dangerous especially after experiencing riding to the dealer through the rain on great Michelin Road 5s.
@karlosh9286

I definitely agree on the lack of colour choice on Triumphs. Also, if buying from new, there really should be in a lot of cases a no cost tyre choice. Do you want semi slicks , or a more all weather tyre ? Or at least not much more than a nominal fee to change the tyres, after all they can keep the "old" ones that are still brand new, and sell them to someone else. I guess they end up on Super Corsas, because that's what all the Journos will give gushing reviews about when their riding in nice and dry weather conditions, getting their knee down !

Excellent review. Yeah, it's definitely too much cash. I quite like the shape styling, it's just a bit too black and grey for me, and too expensive, and well beyond my abilities. I do think they would sell some production Daytonas, if they're only £1k more than a Striple RS. But £5k more, well no. This is only a limited run, so they're all gone ! So on an £11300 Daytona, plastic fairings rather than carbon fibre, and some clip ons. Keep the Striple engine rather than "moto 2" it. I don't guess Triumph will listen to me ! You definitely deserve to get more subscribers, keep up the good work, and I'm sure you will !

Been looking at a Ducati SuperSport for commuting to work - nothing too far, maybe twenty miles each way. I recently saw that a local Triumph dealership had one of these - brand new and never purchased - discounted by nearly 3000£ - a pretty steep discount. I'm a lot shorter than you are (5'7), and I'm curious what you'd think about using this largely for running to work and a few track days in summer. The funny bit is that with the aforementioned huge discount, this limited-edition Triumph would come out to about 1800£ less than the Ducati. I'd also be riding it in winter (rain only, no snow or ice!). The Ducati seems a lot more practical and modern (can one say that about a quasi sports ride?), but with the Triumph discount being so huge and the rarity being so high, there's a strong pull... anyway, this is quite the debate I'm having in my mind right now!
@jcauseyfd

Daniel - curious as to what you decided to do? I'm debating between these two bikes right now and my planned usage sounds similar. The Triumph dealer has knocked quite a bit off the price. Haven't tried to work a deal on the Ducati yet, but they can't keep them in stock around here so I'm not expecting to be able to work a deal.
@danieloconnell4225

@@jcauseyfd I ultimately went with the SuperSport 950S - bottom-line, it's simply the better machine, with newer technology and features that the Triumph does not have. The Triumph has no six-axis IMU, no LEDs, and much more rudimentary safety features. As someone who rides year-round, in the dark, in the rain, in all conditions (outside of ice and snow) the Ducati simply offered too many upsides where the Triumph would (literally) fall down - and I say that as someone whose favourite brand is Triumph. The Ducati may have 'only' 110hp, but it is reasonably light, has more torque than the Triumph, and has better fit-and-finish - and unless you're come off of a race replica, it's still faster than most motorcycles on the road by miles (it will hold its own on track). If I was buying a motorcycle purely as a toy, I would have got the Triumph, but the Ducati wins out on practicality and safety, and it still looks fantastic.

Uses sarcasm to talk about the quality features, and basically complained about the bike. Cuts to the riding segment and realise its true potential on the road and begs you to take it to the track. Ive been riding a 2012 daytona for 8 years, and got one of the moto2 daytonas before most people got theirs. Also the North American version has red, which makes a huge differences to the look and a £100 straight pipe makes it sound like a proper midwieght bike.

Yeah, I never much liked the last-gen Daytona that this stole the bodywork from. And the exhaust is sadly a result of putting a bike into production in 2020 with all the new emissions regs! I miss the carbon-tipped underseat Arrow I had on my 2010 675. I miss that bike dearly

Seriously now why is virtually all Motorsport journalist (amateur & professional) is over 6’ tall and then saying “well me at 6’11” i have no problem with ergonomics.” That’s like a millionaire saying well sport car prices have increased but you know 30k more for a sport at is really insignificant. Yea for you dummy! How about talking from the perspective of average, regular people. As fas as i know average male numbers in USA is: 5’8” height 32” inseem about 180 lb 45-50k salary. This shit is everywhere in YT is really annoying. That’s why I love Jason Cammisa he’s the only one who’s always from the perspective of your average car enthusiast guy.

The ergonomics are fine.. I’m 5’ 4” and i daily a daytona without problem (going on 8 yrs now). Mine is stock when it comes to controls (other than adjusted brake and clutch lever angles) It might be intimidating for 1st time riders, sure.. but if you’ve been riding a bit, one foot flat on the ground is enough.
