I had an issue with my foot control not changing speed when I rotated the speed adjustment knob. In this video I go over removal and install of the speed control switch on my Minn Kota Edge foot controlled trolling motor. This process should almost the same, if not identical, for all cable driven Minn Kota's that are non variable speed.

Thanks for the video. I have the same trolling motor, and everything works perfect in all speeds EXCEPT when the yellow indicator (arrow) is pointing in the 11:00-2:00 position. It has no power in these speeds when it is basically pointed straight. could this fix my problem? Mine is less than a year old, and has been lightly used. Thanks.

It could! Before you buy this part, If you look under the pedal at the speed control switch, I also found later one of the black (with blue I think) wires wasn’t making good contact on the switch or the metal clip. I have re attached it and made sure the clip has a good connection and It has been working correctly.

Thanks for the video! i think I am having the same issue right now. I am about to run some test to try to isolate it. Could you explain your issues a little more in depth? More specifically, my trolling motor propeller barely flinches, maybe moves a quarter of an inch, if that, when I give it power. When yours quit completely, did it behave similarly?

That sounds different than my issue. It sounds like the brushes could have worn on yours. Something is stopping it from getting the full power
