@@fartnocker86 I own a quarter inch 3/8 and half bench torque wrench all calibrated and I do not sleep well at night unless I torque everything down to specifications with or without threadlocker I don't care if it's lug nuts caliper brackets or even caliper slide pins I torque everything brake leaders all of them

THERES A DIFFERENCE WHEN ONE HAS THE RANK AND REPUTATION AND SOME HAS PREFERENCE. I BELIEVE WHEN YOU TURNED SO MANY WRENCHES ITS A FEEL THAT YOU DEVELOP WITH TIME. I BELIEVE YES I WOULD TORQUE CERTAIN THINGS DOWN AS LUGS AND CALIPER PINS. BUT SOME PEOPLE OVER DO IT. FRANKLY ITS A TIME KILLER ESPECIALLY WORKING AS A FLAT RATE. BEEN IN THE BUSINESS FROM MY GRANDFATHER, UNCLE STEPDAD AND I & NEVER HAD THEM HAVE A ISSUE CUZ THEY DONE IT SO LONG BUT EVERYONE HAS THERE WAY AND PREFERENCE. BLESS ALL

I’ve been keeping up on all your videos for a while now being that I went from an hourly position at a dealer for a few years to a flat rate independent shop for nearly a year now. It’s been a different world working on all vehicle makes with different scan tools and resources. I picked up a few tips to help my brake jobs go faster just by watching you do a simple brake job. I love the discussion talks but I’m hopeful that troll will inspire more videos like this!

Good to see that you bothered to clean the rotor mating surface, most techs failed to do that. Its good to see that you also didn't wire brush the brake anchors, corrosion is prevented this way.

I have a question and I cant seem to find a solid answer and was wondering what your thoughts were? Brake caliper slider pins that have the little rubber bushing on the tip of the slider pin (usually go in the upper anchor bracket hole), what is the purpose of this rubber bushing? I have always found that the pin with the rubber bushing is almost 100% seized and causes un-even brake pad wear. I have replaced the bushings with new on some application and it seems that the slider pins are so tight and do not slide well even with the new hardware and proper lubrication. I have just plain removed them on some vehicles to achieve a better slider pin/caliper feel. What's your thoughts on this? thanks Chris in Canada

My observation about the way you work as FRM is that, you enjoy what you do, you are NEITHER SWIFT NOR PROTRACTED. But the reason why you are the FRM is that all your actions performing a task are deliberate, methodical, stepwise (nothing haphazard or ad-hoc). In short, no mucking around. And you do every step once with intention, no repetition . In MHO, that’s why you are the FRM.

I have the deepest respect for FRM, Ivan, frank, Glenn, Corey, Leon, Keith, Will, etc. etc. etc. for who they are and what they do. They are legends to me. The list is long in the mechanic community. Almost all of my comments for years have been sarcastic/comedy. He does have a sense of humor you know.
