I Bought 23 BROKEN Nintendo Switches for $1,955 to Try and Fix Them AND Make Money! I thought I'd be able to fix almost all of these Switches...but I was wrong! I show how to fix lots of common issues like diagnosing and replacing the M92T36 charge chip, P13USB video chip, as well as liquid damage.

Would you be able to go into more detail on a more microscopic level? I'm curious as to what happens (physically) inside these chips when they go bad and if there's any way to repair the damage within the chips themselves. It seems like such a waste to have all these main CPUs going bad and I know you explained the shorting out problem within the video.

Hi, about number 1. Maybe the switch is in recovery mode using autorcm in that case the screen would not turn on and waits for a payload to get injected. Its being used by people who mod their system. It would also not fast charge in rcm mode You could check it if you connect the switch to your pc if it shows up or use any payload injector and check if it detacts a switch in rcm mode. I kinda feel that at least one of them is in rcm mode so many without backlight

He could just not post the things where he can’t get it working and make it look like everything he touches he fixes, but that’s obviously never gonna be true no matter how good you are at it. He’s very transparent and even when he doesn’t fix the device the videos are still entertaining and educational

Some of those switches have the "Turn on display when docked or undocked" setting disabled. Pretty sure that's why some of those seemed unpredictable. I noticed the one at 25:50 turned on when you touched the screen. Just keep in mind that switch has settings to determine how the device powers on. =\
@tomd96
@tomd96 Жыл бұрын
I didn't know they could have that setting as I'm only familiar with the Switch Lite, though at this point, they've probably been torn down into parts to recover some of the cost. Even those with liquid damage could still have a decent part that could be salvaged, the heat sink, screen, cartridge board, etc. Getting the screen out is a bit difficult as it requires deactivating the adhesive that keeps it glued to the frame. People who do case mods struggle with it.
