Dejlig musik, og en kæmpe oplevelse, at stå på The Mall og se den flotte parade. Briterne kan bare det der. Og så er det jo sjovt, at se at man selv er med på dette indslag. Jeg har også været der i år, og ser frem til at komme der igen i 2014:-)

@Ib Halling -That's some language you've got there! Not having worked at Bletchley Park in WW2 as a cryptographer, I had to put your comment through the translation system. Glad you enjoyed it. The translator didn't seem to mind my not having the little circle thingies and I now know "og" is Danish for "and". Well, if we've never mastered French after 1000 years of occupation, this Danish could take some time! But, house land cow (grey)hound ..... nearly made a sentence. Ha ha. We're hopeless I know (but good at marching!).

Insperato62 there are 5 different regimental bands with about 40 bandsmen in each. There is 5 drum majors in the middle is the most senior

How many people are in a mass band? Why do they need 4 or 5 Drum Majors? I would like to know please

the massed bands are made up of 5 regimental bands of the guards division , each Drum major represents each band , plus they all march seperatly to the trooping the colour before combining the bands about 250 strong plus drums and pipes

They are from the 5 regiments of the foot guards

This is after the troop has finished,5 bands and 5 drum majors,middle drum major is the senior drum major normally got corps of drums and pipe bands at rear of the bands and the queen just behind them,used to form up at Canada gate not sure if they still do,I've done several troops as a drummer.
