I picked up a pair of trophy line knee pads 2 years ago for about 12 bucks! But they lasted about 5 all day sits before the foam completely wore out. And as far as I know they don't offer a foam replacement! I would buy 3 pair for a season at 12 bucks instead of spending 69. BUT I'd spend 69 if they lasted all year or offer cheep insert replacement. I used a pair of kobalt last year that was similar to the trophy line but they were like 17 bucks and lasted about the same before the foam flatted. I'd like to try a pair with harder plastic but am afraid of the noise they may make..... Would lover to see how the longevity of these two pads compare. I'll subscribe and wait for the next video!

Check out the 5.11 Tactical Exo.K Gel Knee Pads. They are designed similarly to Tethrd but have the flat surface on the front as you were suggesting to Tethrd. They also gel cushion in front of the knee cap plus they are $30 less than Tethrd.

Get the kneepads plumbers/ floor guys use. Lots of padding and they have grip rubber on the front. Only cost like 20 bucks.

I have the timberline ones, I used them all last year and I can say they are pretty good but your knees still start to hurt after awhile. I will try to find a "memory foam" one or just go to a memory foam pad attached to the tree with mini bungees like Greg at Tetherd suggests. Maybe I can add some more foam to them as they don't really have enough

Great review. I bought some at harbor freight on a whim and they are great. Only 7 bucks too. I love the clip they use as well. I use mine even when not saddle hunting cause they keep my knees warm 😂.

Have you tried out the Latitude Outdoors knee pads? They are more expensive but look similar to the Tethrd, I really like mine but with that being said I have nothing to compare them to as they are the only ones I have tried.

So the thing that keeps me thinking paying more isn't bad is weatherproofness! Seems like the cloth is going to act like a sponge! Tethered is going to shed water!

Good review! I'm primarily a sitter with 30 yrs of saddle hunting behind me. Those pads look nice, but for the price difference I'll stick with my old tried and true Altas. Good hunting to you!

Great video. I promise you, if you try the Latitude knee pads you'll sell those Tethrds real fast. I can't stand the rocking the Tethrds exhibit. The Latitudes use the same rubber on the front as is found on hunting boots. It bites the tree much better than the Tethrds. And, because it's not a hard-shelled pad, the rubber molds to the shape of the tree so you don't get no rocking.

I got a set of knee pads from 5.11 they are awesome , it seemed like the price was good too

Trophy line are good for 1 year..after that the padding is so flat its almost unbearable. Invest in a better pair
