Echo, what others have said. Great maturity Ben. It’s hard to be honest with yourself, it’s even harder to do that and then put it out in public, and even harder when you are feeling disappointed. That’s a real credit to you. It will definitely help you get even better than you already are.

Wow, Ben. Your review of your own surfing at the events, particularly El Sunzal, was so mature and objective. Good on you! TBH, and solely from a spectators perspective, overall I thought through all three events if you’d had/selected (maybe) some better waves you would’ve done better. Again, that’s just a spectator’s opinion. Love your style and am impressed by your honesty with yourself. Keep it up. Love your work in and out of the water. Go for it!

Your surfing as good as any of them Ben and probably top 5 noseriders. You have been unlucky at both Bells and El Salvador. That was one of the few set waves that closed out. You were a bit stiff in that heat with Taylor Jensen as it looked like he out hassled you all on that first wave of the heat. Don't be hard on yourself and overthink the wave in front of you. Its all in your muscle memory. Enjoy your surfing. As someone who has judged a lot of Longboarding I would add a little variety and bring my cutbacks around more off the whitewater. For example Johny the ripper was using the rail grab drop knee to add variety. Its only a matter of one good heat and you will go all the way. All the best.

While I enjoy your surfing no matter what, it’s informative to hear of the criteria for the event and assessment of your own performance. As a novice, it’s interesting for me to learn why you chose your pintail (or not) as that’s the board I have. The waves were 3’ or more here in the NE yesterday, more of the same tomorrow, but also bumpy. Since I moved my single fin back, we’ll see again how that goes. Anyway, I guess a/o now, you’re in the ‘Bu! Thanks for taking us on the tour, and you did pretty well to me.🇺🇸🇦🇺🇸🇻🌊🏄‍♂️🤙
