Such a metaphor on life. All the people working there most will be gone eventually, the building gone, all traces of this once life gone. Such a disposable world we live in. This is why its so important to preserve history instead of erasing it. But I get it, its all about the bottom line in Vegas.

Heart breaking to see all that stained glass gone. Tropicana was the first hotel I stayed in in Vegas 20 years ago now.

You have to be kidding me first the Mirage now the Tropicana these people have so much damn money to spend on something that everybody’s happy with now baseball. We’re in a gambling capital of the world not the sports capital what a waste of money everybody I know loves the volcano at the Mirageand the Bellagio fountains and now you’re taking it away I doubt that the locals want a baseball stadium in Las Vegas maybe couple but to go to a baseball game when it’s 115 good luck🎉

The Mirage isn’t being torn down it’s being rebranded. Plus, the Trop was a dump before, people only started caring about it once they heard it was going to be torn down. People will go to the games a lot more, (not for the A’s for the other teams 😂). In the long run, it is a better thing for the city. All good things must come to an end

I can't believe they are holding a liquidation sale in a half-demolished building. I mean if I were OSHA, I'd see violations everywhere. Including trip and struck by hazards. Especially with the hotel towers that are half demolished directly above them.

I agree. With the Riviera, they didn't even START until MONTHS after their sale ended. Yet at the Trop, theres literally drywall being RIPPED OFF of the towers! Unbelievable

I went to the Dunes liquidation sale, lol. So much of it was junk furniture from a by gone era, except the furnishings from the Suites....

Mirage is coming next. I believe they already announced a date for its liquidation sale for August 1.

I’m still bummed that we missed it before it closed by 9 days. It would have been fun to go to this and bring something home. Was everything brought to the main floor or were you able to walk around and go up into the rooms and other areas?

There is little if anything left of the hotel from when it first opened except for the low rise cabana rooms. The rest has been remodeled and redone many times over since it first opened its doors.

Amazing all the Slots and Security cameras are gone. To see their main Security Camera room would of been amazing, because there never allowed photos or phones.

Looks like most of the casino memorabilia and anything else of real collector’s value was already long gone….they probably would have been happy if that stuff was simply hauled away, so they could continue tearing the building down. And it will remain a fenced-off vacant lot long before they ever build a baseball stadium.
