TROUBLE with STARTING up a USED CAR BUSINESS

Lots going on this week at the used car sales pitch, we had bad news on the fiat 500, the land rover 110 goes to MOT and we go to auction to try and find some stock vehicles for the pitch.

Just found this, really great content. When we had a small car pitch dealing in cheapies, the best cars we found by far was from independent dealers who dealt in 10k upwards cars and had limited space. Cutting the auction out with regard to their part ex's. It's not that easy to build these relationships up but they are the best relationships you will ever have in the car game.

Nice to see you going that extra mile with cambelt etc even though it hurts the £ made... too many out there don't do this or ask extra for doing it when they sell the car.

@@ValleyAutosBirmingham Well if you own the land or have no rent on that plot, you should do ok as its a great idea, extra income when turfs stopped etc. AND having sexy Sara on every day is great what a great worker she is and super sexy as well.. Looks like you will do very well on ytube and in cash and with Sara you got it made.

Good video, but on that fiat 500 a sump, cam belt, mot and exhaust rubber shouldn't be wiping you out, I'm in the same game, you need to either do that work yourself or a handy lad cheap to do it, what with auction prices, garage rates and people bargain hunting you'll be a bit stuck, I know if I had to pay a garage to do my sales cars I'd be on a big loss, we do everything, paint, mechanical work, valleting the lot and it's still tight tbh, on the fiat if you did all that in house it'd be say 250,hopefully leaving you with a nice wage, you were probably lucky not getting that mini as those later bmw 1.6 diesel engines are junk, chains go for fun.

@@DannyRangerUK had a 62 plate mini d, that later engine, it's just blew up at tickover, chain came thru top of the cam cover, lost 2k on that one, same with a countyman but just managed to out it before it blew, both cars were 100k bang on, with fsh tho.

Just found your channel, enjoying it. I think the AA thing is a waste of money, it will cost you more than you make from it and it doesn't make any difference to customer confidence. With the cars your buying, you dont want to be over paying for them, like anything the money is made when buying not selling. Most cars are on average £500 in prep etc and thats without cambelts or any major jobs. To not be running at a loss and to last in this game you need a big margin to play with and keep them overheads as low as possible! Wish you all the best, never know we might cross paths one day, im not a million miles away ✌🏼

An auction tip(s) is always go in person, bidding on line is a great way to blow money, any auction is basically not to be trusted, also go later, early cars are just too dear, it's too hot, in the later half people seem to run out of steam and money, the dealers that the auction doesn't work as hard for are later on, make sure tho it's a proper p ex, not an independent dealer car, it'll deffo be hookey, don't be tempted by flash cars full of kit as well, it's odds on not everythings going to work and your customer will demand perfection, fiat 500s are great stock but you've got to pay high so not much in them, avoid diesels, too many problems, watch engines with chains at say 100k,there just not lasting, people are going crazy for low miles, loads more than say a 100k,er,any small auto is like gold. @@ValleyAutosBirmingham Direct from the dealerships i used to underwrite the part exchanges when they were doing the deals You cant make any money buying from auctions there is too much wrong with the cars and they are too expensive
