Good to see things are going well on your channel enjoying watching you to as you're honest and funny Vectra not a bad car the back brake pads are a nightmare to change as they rust up bad watch the head gasket as I had one go on my 2005 sri but mine was cheap and i never looked after it the 2 years of haveing it yes they would mot it if it's not really bad you know wat to look for normal signs but you can get a proper cheap tester wat will tell you for 100% hopefully it's not take it you did the checks wat miles like as mine was 130000 you need to sort your mum's car test the alternator as well mate

Greg depending on the engine type, the little pipe on the back of the engine could have gone, loosing water, you can change it without removing the cylinder head but it’s quite a job,

Hi guys love the banter with you to and love the channel.rocker cover inc gasket and bolts only €28 on flea bay or you can buy gasket on its own.sometimes the rocker cover can warp due to heat.i just changed mine on vectra as it was leaking.be careful when doing bolts up as they snap real easy tell me how I know.sorted now.also oil cooler can leak and sometimes gets mistaken for head gasket.all the best

On the Vectra if there is an issue with the alternator it's springs odd lights also.

I want to win, When i first started buying and selling cars i had 2 cars that were signed up saying "Cars & Vans Bought For Cash" and i used to leave them on main roads just parked up, it got me alot of vehicles, best part is you can test drive them and look round them properly, very rare i bought from auctions, maybe a good idea for the fiesta van

If the fiesta van is cheap the mileage is nothing as diesel fords do good mileage ok the boot and the back lights are a shame just watch the rot in the sills and inside the back inside the rear arches near the rear shocks as I've welded loads of fords over the years could be a money maker if the price is right mate

Top the water up to correct level, if lights out, sensor OK, still one, sensor no good, run car, drive about, if coolant level stays same, all good, if it blows from cap (very common on these) heads gone, not worth doing, tbh mot should have noted as advisory coolant level, warning light on, maybe it was full at time of mot (?) it was worth mot ing as it did 650,less commission say 600,better than scrap, you should be doing these checks before spending money tbh, re fiesta van, just get a white aresol and paint that tail gate if it's going up for sale that is, another check on that vectra is start it up from cold, look inside the bottle, if smoke comes out fairly quickly that's combustion gases escaping, tbh, fresh test, cleaned up and blocked that day points to issues.
