I thank you for this video, but unfortunately these didn't work for me. I downloaded a game a few days ago and when I attempted to uninstall it I ran into the Runtime error. That brought me here and so far no luck. I'll keep searching though.

@@papillio8832 I haven't. The only "fix" I managed to do with it was to disable it when I turn my laptop on, so it no longer automatically starts up anymore. I did get into contact with someone connected to the game and even though he had been told that some people have had the same Runtime issue while trying to uninstall it, he also didn't know of any way to fix the problem. He did tell me he would ask around to see if anyone else connected to the game knew of a fix, but that was a month ago and I haven't heard back from him. I did send him multiple messages since and got no replies back. So I guess it's just going to be there until I get around to buying a new laptop. Oh well.

@@papillio8832 On the start up apps you can toggle apps off and on. I switched it off so even though it's still there, it no longer starts up when I turn my laptop on.

Oops. I deleted older unsupported versions and the 2020's ... I'm a noob. Do I download x86 version from Microsoft after clearing out old files ? I don't play a lot of games, I have a Alienware that is a few years old. Wish I could figure out how to hire a PC tutor locally

I got up to the bit where we delete it and it fixed the problem for now. I’ll be back if something goes wrong to continue. I’m back for the next step. It works.

please help, just yesterday the epic games battle breakers received an update and now whenever i attempt to launch the game i now get a microsoft visual c++ assertion failed window message preventing the game from launching, although your video is for runtime errors i still followed your steps 1 thru 3 to attempt to fix my problem but no luck, do you have any advice or know how i can fix this problem, thanks for any time and advice.

@@tater8960 I did fix it, but I was playing SCP:SL, and was making a server, but as soon as I port forwarded it on my wifi, it wouldn't let me play it until I deleted the port.
