Sounds good to me, I was just there for 2 weeks but my son's family had that bad stomach flu that was going around so I never got to see anyone.

Great video Charlie yeah I totally understand your disappointment showing up at a favorite place and finding its become a mess since the last time there. It's seems to be a complaint a lot of outdoors people have I just don't understand people disrespecting the environment guess we keep pushing the word and hopefully we will educate some. I've heard that if people only keep the bigger fish the fish genetically inclined to grow bigger are fished out so they become rarer in a pond. It is better to keep smaller ones for the frying pan with only the odd one to two pounder. Just a theory I've heard.

yeah I think over fishing is a major problem, some people just keep hitting the same ponds over and over until they are fished out.

Sea run speckles are the best eating by far but their numbers are critically low in many areas. DFO needs to manage our inland waters better.

Yes my friend, plus the heavy run offs washing their eggs away and loss of of spawning beds due to slit don't help matters. Sometimes as you very well know, it's not just one thing but the combinations of many little things, that takes its toll on a species.

Yes things are changing quickly, seen a lot of change in 50+ years out there on the brooks, rivers, lakes and ponds. Even the sea runs seem smaller

indeed, I have a few spots I only good to once a year or once every couple of years, but some people find a good spot and go day after day until it's fished out.
