@@aaroningl it's alot harder for deaf actors to get into the buisness. Producers still pick famous hearing actors over deaf actors to play deaf rolls. So yes. He had to work double so hard.

No offense here, but it might surprise you to hear that deaf people have been recruited in different sectors of spy agencies for decades, in the US since the 1880s! Of course, there are tasks and missions with which a deaf spy wouldn't get assigned, but don't believe that they have a less keen perception - It's quite the opposite. And I'm sure it comes in handy that no one suspects you to be a spy/agent, or that a deaf/deaf-mute is a lot harder to interrogate. 🕵🏽‍♂️ Anyway, I was just referring to Troy Kotsur's acting skills, personality, and looks.
