My 2010 prius struts just went bad and there's a noticeable thumping noise during maneuvers to let you know. This video is very helpful for doing the job at home. While the wiper system is out of the way, it's a perfect time to replace the spark plugs while doing the struts.

The bolts holding the strut were reinstalled from the opposite side than they were removed. Probably not a problem, but there are some cases where it matters. I prefer to put everything back the way it was originally. Also, great video overall, thanks for sharing the instructions.

Very good video. Thanks for sharing. One comment: Regarding video title, I believe the gen 3 Prius is 2010-2015. Model year 2009 is part of gen 2.

Does it matter if the factory bolts are 14mm and the new struts bolts are 15mm, I just hope they fit in the hole after I pull

In every one of this guys videos he over tightens every bolt with his impact gun then pretends to torque them to spec. So does every mechanic in every shop. its why even lug nuts are impossible to remove after you let a shop touch your car... but at least he is telling us the correct torque. Other than that I appreciate the content.

Hey yall. I thought i could do this my self. The confidence you guys had given me is quickly dwindling. I have a 2015 Prius C. My front struts are not the same as urs. I do NOT have three bolts for mount. I assume i have one large bolt in the middle of the strut at the top of the car mount... I think. I got everything done except pulling the strut off. I do not know how to remove the shock from the top mount. Do I twist or pry cap off? Pls help as of now I'm stuck and carless?
