This video shows you how to install a new TRQ power steering rack and pinion assembly on your 2009-2014 Nissan Maxima. The rack and pinion assembly transforms the turning motion of your steering wheel to the push and pull motions that turn the front wheels of your vehicle, as well as adding the power assistance. If the steering rack on your vehicle is leaking, or damaged in some way, you might need to replace it entirely.
This repair was done on a 2010 Nissan Maxima S 3.5L Sedan 4-Door FWD Automatic and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:

Pro tip: get a 3 ft extension for your ratchet. You’ll be able to reach the high pressure line from the passenger side very easily

I know I’m capable of doing the job but I’m hoping that somebody says yes the video is 28 minutes long and that’s how long it took us ,,, which we all know is probably triple that ,,, also I want your torque wrench

I am doing this job RIGHT NOW. I am pretty good with tools, but removing those lines has proven to be quite the challenge. I dont have the benefit of a lift so im on jack stands. Gonna finish the job today. Fingers crossed.

What was the customer complaint? My steering has a lot of tension but the pump isn't making noises and I can see fluid pumping in the reservoir so I'm thinking it's got to be the rack
