Arthur C Clarke predicted it a long time ago. I don't remember which book that was in but he made lots of predictions which came true. In the case of AI though his prediction was that humans no longer *needed* to work and those that did work only did so because they wanted to but everyone else was focused on creating music, art, poetry, books, philosophy and spiritual pursuits. Ironically you could probably ask AI which book that was in - but I don't remember off the top of my head. I'm an AIML student so i have a grasp of how these things work, she's probably programmed to answer such a way. A machine don't understand what's good and bad, but if i tell him that something bad is good then it will think that way. In short no need to scare it's all just for promo i guess, but Ai is still scary not because they'll annihilate humans but because of inappropriate use of ai by humans
