Y’all as a co-worker with India, she’s knows exactly how to handle every challenge thrown at her. She’s the realist female truck driver I’ve had the pleasure to work with. Teaching is a great thing, her respect and patience with this student was/is on point. She covered everything from the general basics to in-depth breaking things down further for understanding. Even off video a lot of use teachers park for the night with students present and hangout discuss/correct weaknesses n both sides so that as teachers we become stronger and efficient which makes better students in this industry. Mad love sis you got this…

You are to never kick a trainee off the truck. A part of being a trainer is to go through everything imaginable until they learn or until you've exhausted yourself to the point and then you tell the company she is un-trainable. Here's some advice for you when training: your trainee does very little maneuvering for a good couple weeks to a month until they get comfortable being in and driving the truck, then you slowly let them do a little more and more. Never put the trainee in a situation to back in a single spot between 2 trucks or a tough docking situation. Never be afraid to tell the trainee to stop and then you take over. Basically you have to approach the situation(s) as though you are trying to make your child understand something as in always talk super nice and show understanding of the situation but explain yourself in detail about the wrongs and rights and how things need/should/have to be. You are there to also verbally coach them and encourage them even if they arent driving or the truck is parked. You need to build their confidence over time.

Sir I don’t know what kind of training your giving but the student is only with me minimum 21 days max 35 .. if they don’t ever back in a tough situation they’ll never learn …. Any who thanks for watching 🤗

@@YOULOVEINDIA when I trained with a permit in 2004 I did 1 month OTR with an instructor, came back to the PRIME INC terminal and passed the driving and skills test to achieve my CDL. Then I had to train 100,000 miles (4 months) as a team with a trainer and I even stayed 2 extra months with my trainer because he liked me. I would never train for a company who is rushing the process. It should always be until the trainee thinks they are ready to go on their own. Prime has since downgraded the the amount of miles (i think 50k miles or 35k) a trainee needs to go on their own but I'm positive it's only a minimum and up to the discretion of the trainer/trainee.
@Takaride

@@YOULOVEINDIA You also have to take into consideration that when I trained with a trainer and went onto become a trainer? We didn't have automatics and had to learn and teach on a stick. We also didn't have a GPS and everything was Rand McNally MOTOR CARRIER ROAD ATLAS and written directions on the Qualcomm. Your job of training is already 50% or better easier right from the gate! That doesn't mean you still don't need to take baby steps with what you allow them to do. I highly doubt your company says they have to learn by xyz time or else. I would imagine that everything is discretionary.

Congratulations on your new courageous choice to be a trainer. As a woman with 1.7 million miles I am happy to see that there are women such as yourself willing to risk their very life to help other women. I had male trainer and it was brutal. That was 2006. You did the right thing. Some folks don't belong on a truck. If you can't listen forget it. Hoping you get a good student next time. Prayers for your safety. Much love to ya! Never give up!

I loooooove your demeanor!! You're so put together and patient. It's unfortunate but sometimes anxiety (on both ends) can make this situation so uncomfortable. But you're a trooper! The trainee didn't seem too bad at first but I noticed she would cut you off when you were talking, I think she was two steps ahead of herself and nervous.

My trainer only let me back 3 times and every time I asked they just said oh you have plenty time to get some backing done 👀🤦🏽‍♀️...now I am on my own and I take my time because I'm still getting comfortable with backing and the other drivers be so impatient it does get frustrating so I just get out of my set up and let them go ahead and park it's rare someone actually helps instead of recording or throwing their hands up and giving nasty looks but eventually I'm sure I'll be able to back into my spot quicker I mean I am pretty much teaching myself how to back with the help of these videos because school does not provide the types of setups that you may actually be encountering and almost every stop I have has limited space it takes me a while but I get it in there perfectly eventually 🤣🤦🏽‍♀️

There were times my trainer took over on a back and made me watch his set up and maneuvers. And then i would get it on the next one. I also pulled into a truck stop the wrong way before. I didn't want to wake my trainer up, so I got help by other drivers getting out of there. They helped me but also laughed at me, I think one was recording me too lol. The learning curve is huge starting out. Rookies will be rookies. Luckily my trainer had been training for 5 years. He was ready for the rookie shenanigans 🤣 😂. Training aint no joke. But me and my trainer got through it. He was from Florida too. Im 4 years in now and I would never train. Kudos to you for having the courage to deal with new drivers.

Myyy goodness!!! This is one of the main reasons I went with a company that did not require training. Don't get me wrong, you did a great job, but I just couldn't chance having to go through all the horror stories most drivers experience. More importantly, this lil space we have in these trucks is not enough for 2 grown folks that do not know one another's personality or way of living.... I'm a person that's willing to chance it on my own that way I'm forced to learn without someone teaching me thier way of doing things, and I love a challenge! Don't know how you all can do it, the money is not worth my peace of mind when we have to stay focused & safe out here. The frustration, aggravation, irritation, and all the other "ations" is too much to deal with while trying to stay positive & focus on safety as well. Chiiiile, I'll keep you in prayer truckin Queen. Stay safe out here fam!💪🏾🚛👑👏🏾🦺🤜🏾🤛🏾🙂 #strongtruckinQueens

Thank you for your patience. You can tell you want to pass your knowledge on about everything in trucking. The student has to have their "listening ears ON" in order to understand and be safe out here. Take advantage of every opportunity to practice backing. I've been solo 1 month now making mistakes but learning and being safe. You can not be in a hurry as it could be the ultimate cost. You did the right thing by removing her from your truck. Because what we not gone Do is be disrespectful and act we know it all as the student. Do not stop teaching. Good luck with your next student. You got this!!

The only training I would need is any time I switch jobs and need trained on how that company functions or possibly if I went back over the road and needed someone with me since sleepers can be slightly harder to back than a day cab.

I’ve never been a trainer but I’ve had some of the worst trainers. The first one yelled at me so much that I thought I was back in an abusive relationship. I could hear him yell in my sleep. The second one has poor hygiene and always tried to hit on me. It took for me to get a third trainer and I was only in his truck for 1 week and 5 days and I was given my own truck. To this day, we still converse. I said all that to say, some people think they want to drive trucks until they literally get in a semi. Being that I was a teacher before coming out here, I’ve learned that some people don’t want to be taught or have this whole mindset of knowing stuff before they enter the trainer’s truck. Many of these people are saying you shouldn’t have put her out. I’ve never trained but I’ve been a student. Everyone is not a trucker and there are many people that just are not teachable. Keep going India🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣love how you used the Chipmunks voices. I hope you continue to be a trainer. Don't let this first experience discourage you. Sometimes you can't help who doesn't want to learn the proper way. Most people want it easy and the truth is you have to work hard before it becomes easier......if that makes sense. Take care and God bless. I just became a subscriber. Hope to see more videos. Much love.

When you train your going to give a lot of yourself, and patience, and space it’s not for everyone it’s really a weeding out process don’t ever put a bad driver on the road.(stay positive)

I am currently in training and i wish my experience was like this. I had to complain to the company bc i wanted to be rerouted back to get another trainer but i guess they said something to my trainer bc she made a complete 360. Im trying to tough it out bc i want to get training over with but of i want to get the proper training in order to excel in the trucking industry. Fingers crossed.

I watched the video you guys seem really Pleasant at first I don't know what happened in between things made a big turn of events and I've been through what you been through because some people can't be taught anything and you tried to show them new things and they tend to get upset argumentative and they're not willing to learn but I like your flow keep doing what you been doing don't let the devil trip you up and you did the right thing you threw her ass off the truck

It’s great that you became a trainer. I feel we need more female trainers out here. I trained for 2 years and I enjoyed it but I also had a few trainees that did not listen and did not want to learn. Just stick with it.
