About 2 years after this incident, the Lady motorcyclist saw this video and recognize it and was unaware of the video”s existence. She emailed me and exchanged phone number and she Thanked me.

As a motorcyclist, I wanna personally thank you. I was riding in Philadelphia and my transmission blew and my lights went with it at 9:00PM in Philly traffic. There are scattered lights on that freeway. Someone just like you saw what happened and saw me go pitch black besides my reflectors and put his high beams, hazards, and brakes on to help me steer it to the shoulder which gave me the ability to get it towed. That is the double edge with leather, protects us but blacks us out from visibility. Thank you JBG, we need more truckers like you.

AI can be programmed to recognise when other road users are in danger, but it can do more like call for help and send a report so other people's navigation systems show hazards or obstructions on the road if things get serious. if anything, AI is better overall at helping people in situations like this, since AI can't be selfish and ignore things like that. AI may never show true kindness but it'll never be selfish.

No, but if every car is linked by AI, any other vehicle would already know of the danger and they’d all move over, allowing the person in danger to be in absolutely zero danger. The reason AI is so hard to get to be a great driver is because we have to make it account for our human failures. If it were all AI drivers, it would be done over night.

He gave her allot of over. From sitting behind her giving her time to try and sort the bike out. Then blocking for her, so she can walk the bike off to the side...... Hope he knows there is a good chance that his actions saved her life. May he reap the positive karma when he needs it the most....

He could have sat there and given her cover and called highway patrol/cops and waited until they got there, by leaving her there in that position she was then exposed to oncoming traffic. If anyone is stupid enough to run into a truck, then that's their fault and only they get hurt, but if someone hits her, she's probably going to die. The "I guess that's all I can do" was just the trucker trying to convince himself, he knew he shouldn't have left her there, just listen to his voice.

Fun fact the cabin is basically just a shell, if you hit anything solid the top of the truck implodes like an empty aluminum can getting crushed by your hand. If I have to I'll jump out of this POS truck if I can

@@nicohakvoort4998 Technically, 90/94 are combined at 18th street. The trucker should have dialed *999 on a cell phone and the state police would respond, but that would be eventually. What he did was great to get her to the side, but she'll still need state police to get off the highway as she didn't seem up to pushing it up the hill to get to the 18th street exit ramp.

People in chicago also drive 85 in a 45 (on average). Did a ride along in an ambulance in chicago, was running code and people would still pass us. It's absolutely nuts, i vowed to never drive in chicago again

Having been on that very stretch of expressway in Chicago, I can attest to the fact that that motorcyclist had a serious problem. No shoulders, and unrelenting traffic.

It warms my heart to see a trucker be courteous to another driver. It use to be normal, even my dad when he drove semi, coach bus etc. Thank you, I think the trainers are not teaching it anymore. Oliden Izquierdo any great tips while driving a truck? Im studying to drive a combinationt truck, im on first grade in vocational school. (Im from finland so global tips would be better because US has different trucks and traffic laws)
