Noob Trucker in the UK, bringing other new drivers the heads up on what its really like as a new driver. Don't blame you for not taking that load Jay. Back in the day when I was driving, I had a load of hay (small bales, that I would have normally stacked myself) that had already been loaded for me. I hooked up, checked the ropes, and away I went. About 25miles in the back end all slipped to one side, not sure why it didn't fall off. Got it to the drop, but got a bollocking for not going out of my way for the weighbridge. Refused to do that again.

£133.9 / ltr Wow! Shell must really love rinsing drivers on the m56. I bet if you drove a couple of miles off the motorway it'd be around £1.10

Hi Jay. What happens in traffic like that behind a crash when a 30 or 45 min break or end of shift is due and your stuck in the traffic for hours with no laybys right near the truck,? do you have to have 9 hours off at that exact place in the queue?

No you just carry on till you get to a safe place to stop and take a tacho print out with an explanation wrote on it

If it's me, I'd just put it on break while stuck behind the crash, but if that's not possible just do a printout and then write a reason on the back, you can get away with quite a lot, as long as your not doing it very often
