I used to drive forklifts to load and unload drivers and I have to say if everyone just does there job with a smile ….no problems. I have had bad days with way to much to do and also drivers with a shit attitude but on the whole working together to get shit done and we all get out alive is a good day .love your vids keep on trucking jay

All they need to say when you get there is pull the curtains then sit in your truck please and I will say when you can close up. Once last lift is done pull up next to window and say close up and exit is down there.

That’s something I don’t miss Jay is the way that you are treated in some customers premises, we had a customer in Liverpool who would not let you use the toilets. I asked them one day at LEC as to why they wouldn’t let you use the toilets, I was told that a driver had left the toilet in a mess so they decided that no more drivers would ever be allowed in to use the toilets. I told the manager that not all drivers are pigs and he should never tar us all with the same brush, I’m now retired but like you Jay, I will never ever be spoken to by someone who thinks your a piece of shit that’s stuck on the sole of his shoe. Well done for standing up to them, who do these people think they are, they’re just doing the same as you Jay, trying to earn a decent living. Kind regards Johnny

I'm not having a go here. I've done forklift training and I have the licences. I've also done ware house operations training. One reason why a forklift driver beep the horn is for safety. Its to make sure that others know you are coming especially when you are coming to a corner. Also in the training I've gotten we were told that when a truck driver parks for to have his load unloaded he should hand over his keys to the forklift driver and stay in the cab at all times for safety reasons. One of The safety reasons is that you might get hit by the forklift. But the forklift driver should not have been so rude and shouted at you. He should have stopped the forklift and turned off the power to the forklift. Then approach you and ask you please get back in your truck cabin and explain to you why you should get back into the truck.

They are all panicked because someone got ran over back in 2017 by one of them loaders and actually died. The company got fined 350k. He is just a jobs worth, needs to learn some respect. We are all human made of skin and bones.

Any forklift driver or loader talks to me like a cunt, for no reason, I’ll completely blank them as if they don’t exist. This tends to wind them up even more, or they come and apologise for being a twat in the first place.

Why do forkies always think we know all of their ways of operating,every factory we go to has different rules and regs,yet we are supposed to know them all,may never go back there again.365 days in a year and we could go to a different one every day.😠😠😠

These places need to give clear instructions. A place I delivered to had a fatality last year and after a health and safety ass kicking they changed the rules and it was a more professional environment. My only real concern is someone trying to get you banned because they are having a bad day .

Perhaps the silly fuckers could have a different horn for signalling drivers that they're clear or whatever. An airhorn might be better and keep the beeps for "get out of the way " etc.

It is irritating when you come access the odd forky or person that has an attitude and thinks drivers can read minds. And is in his own World/ domain. You done well there Jay, it is amusing why as drivers we tend to be treated like scum / 3 class citizens. When if you where in any other envoment/job and you put you’re case like you did, and would be a good compliant procedure with feed back. And treat you like a human. You done well Jay most other drivers would of done the same. And as they would say the Drive is Always in the Wong. I also think when people do that to drivers and unnecessarily they don’t think what the effects would be on the Driver for the rest of the day, it could lead to the driver driving stressed angry and effect concentration, and maybe road rage. I know it’s the drivers responsibility if they are aware they are too stressed or angry they must stop but a lot of the time people can be in that position and Not be overly aware of it. The forky was in the Wong with unessarly shouting at you, (the only time you should be shouted at in that situation is if there was and immanent threat to life or limb. And at the safest opportunity talk) I think he must be a Jobsworth and you where in his little world.

What it is.... everyone has a job to do... my place is the same “non pedestrian warehouse” then they decided that’s just not simple or safe enough so it’s now a non pedestrian warehouse that allows people in the yard but must be 4 meters from the forklifts at all times!!! Really clear... so everytime a driver comes in he wants to be in and out quick as he can, that’s fair we all want a easy life, I’ve no issue with that... however the complete bellends that “are” watching from the offices see that guy on the forklift go near one of you drivers and tho your trying to save time and help the process.... he now has to deal with said bellend who is clueless with the whole affair of trucks,loading and forklift operations.... so each of the hundreds of drivers that do the same come in do the same as you did, trying to help now means he has another “near miss” you drive off at worst maybe banned from site big deal as such.... he goes home tells his wife and family he no longer has a job !!! Tempers are raised to quick in jobs like this.. tbh it’s prob one of our recyling plants and our bales are sent up north to be turned about back at the mills. The list of things I now have to check a driver has when they come on site is ridiculous, and if you haven’t got it because you’ve not been given it is the most common row...
