@@towingmad It’s a storage compound within a CAMC site (White Water)…not sure what their rating is but think it’s Gold CASSOA. Previously at a Platinum CASSOA near Middlesbrough football ground… no idea how they got that rating…not even a tap to get water 🤔…they were £600 a year…..dusty and full of pot holes 🤣

Also the service was for a twin axle…could have got it cheaper by a local registered caravan service business but they couldn’t fit us in within the 60 days to validate our warranty! Caravan only 2 years old.

Enjoyed your video. We bought our Bailey Unicorn Cadiz in 2021. It was a 2020, but due to covid, it had sat in the showroom. So we were the first owner. Bought it outright for £26k. This included solar panel, automatic motor mover, whale water pump, clean and waste water containers, alco wheel lock, and full awning. We had a choice of full or porch, air or pole awning. As it is to be our last caravan, we decided to buy outright. I was surprised at the cost for storage as £800, as our storage for a cassoa site in Northumberland, was £250 per year. This was six years ago, as we have been sited since then. Figures for service and insurance, is roughly the same as yours.👍

@@helenbavin1980Hiya from up North. Until we sighted our caravan six years ago, we were at a storage in Lynemouth in Northumberland. We paid £280. The owner lived on site. We were there for 14 years. They treated us, as if we were family. Some places seem to be really expensive now.

Yes there are a few variables of course and i didn't want to ho with unrealistic numbers so perhaps ive gone with worst case costs

Thanks for commenting and it's a fine balance, some people spend thousands on awnings and the only cassoa storage site we could get was 25 miles away and cheaper than those closer to Manchester. Some people have inflatable couches and full set ups in their awnings and cadaqs at 250 each so spend way more than we do. Also for families caravanning its hard enough managing a family, house, cars etc so will often just have to pay for convenience. It is also advisable not to spend 20k on a caravan with no experience but we decided to commit and look at it over 5 or even 10 years. Thanks again for reaching out!

@@towingmad Spot-on. Prices will vary as will of course desire for accessories. I am pleased to see your price breakdown to clearly and reasonably presented as there is a huge misconception that caravanning is somehow automatically regarded as a cheaper holiday. It really is not unless you are buying into the older 2nd hand market or cutting out foreign travel/hotel holidays in favour of caravanning frequently over a good number of years. Well done for pulling this video together.

Potentially Adrian but i'd rather be high than low. I've costed in new and a saving could be made on second hand, Comprehensive insurance, a Cassoa gold storage site, and premium campsites. With tables, chairs, bbqs or teryaki grill, sleeping ware, storage boxes, general caravan kit, kitchen ware etc the 800 soon gets swallowed up in my view. Which costs do you think are high?

Thanks for feedback. I've quoted for all new equipment, cassoa gold storage, Comprehensive insurance for a 20k van, and we tend to go for serviced putches hence the £35 per night cost for large family and pets.
