You probably will hate to learn this, but you have hundreds of tiny mites living on and in your skin right now. ;) They're called Demodex mites, and they mostly hang out in your hair follicles and eat the dead skin and oil that your skin produces. For the vast majority of people the mites cause no harm; they're actually useful as they help keep your skin clean. But a small minority unfortunately do develop allergies to the mites (or more accurately, their feces).

The shrimp were by far my favorite part about working in a specialty aquarium shop. I had a breeding pair of Harlequin shrimp in a 25 gallon tank at home. Waking up in the middle of the night to a blizzard of babies in the water because I was unaware momma was carrying eggs was a shocking experience 😂

And don't try to say something like "they're in the same neighbourhood and kind of British so it doesn't count". That'd be fighting talk. They did get the habit from us, though. In fairness, as far as the British giving you a habit goes, it could have been worse. Ask the people in the place where the tea came from.

"Spatula" is the Latin diminutive for "spatha", so a "spatula" is a "little sword". So the name works even better. (And "Caligula" is the same for "caligae" -- soldier's boots. So Emperor Caligula was "Little Boots" or, as I prefer, "Bootsie".)
