Thanks. For installment #2, I will try to pull-in more Bible verses. The production is geared, however, more towards history, that is, explanation of events after the Bible was sealed. Looking back, If I did work in more Bible verses, I would have emphasized that we witnessed (through this material) the great falling away. The fall of Jerusalem, and then the loss of Messianic Jewish leadership at Rome opened the door to horrific compromises. At times in my preparation, I had to pause, look away and take a breath. The video, above, shows only a portion of what I found. Like the YRM correspondent explained, in this comment thread, our time is limited for each broadcast. Thank you for posting-up! Kindest shalom.

I samual 20 verse 5 . David seems to think the New Moon starts the first of the month. The Gregorian calendar made by the Catholic Church never lines up with the new moon. Isaiah 66:23 says from one new moon to another one Sabbath to another all people shall come and worship me at my holy mountain. Yahweh seems to think the New Moon starts the new month.
@YahwehsRestorationMinistry
@YahwehsRestorationMinistry 3 ай бұрын
The new moon is the first visible crescent. The word “month” as found in Exodus 12:2 is derived from the Hebrew “chodesh,” meaning, “new moon.” The root of chodesh, Hebrew “chadash,” means to be new or to rebuild. Historically the Jews determined the month by the first visible crescent: “The Hebrew or Jewish calendar had three stages of development: the preexilic, or Biblical; the postexilic, or Talmudic; and the post-Talmudic. The first rested on observation merely, the second on observation coupled with calculation, and the third on calculation only. In the first period the priests determined the beginning of each month by the appearance of the new moon” (International Standard Bible Encyclopedia, “Calendar”). Yahweh uses the new moon to establish moedim, or commanded observances, Psalm 104:19. Special offerings were also given on the new moons, 2Chronicles 2:4; 8:13; 23:31. We find many references to the new moon or beginning of months in the Scriptures, including the obligation for True worshipers to observe them, Numbers 10:10; 28:11-15; 1Chronicles 23:31; 2Chronicles 2:4; 8:13; 31:3; Ezra 3:5; Ezekiel 46:1, 3, 6; Colossians 2:16. Apostolic Believers, who remained true to His Word, continued to honor new moon days as well as observe Feast days in the New Testament, Acts 18:21; 27:9; 1Corinthians 5:7-8. Further, we learn from Ezekiel’s prophecy (46:3) that new moon days will be kept in the coming Kingdom: “The people of the land shall also worship at the doorway of that gate before Yahweh on the Sabbaths and on the new moons.

@marbanak
@marbanak 3 ай бұрын
Glad to answer you, friend. I trust my sincere reply will not come across as elusive or dodgy. I have used several Bibles in the course of my life. Even before I was baptized, I was referring to the King James, The Aramaic Peshitta (from Lamsa), and Hebrew and Greek interlinear sources. Decades ago, when I set out to read the Bible cover-to-cover, I primarily used the Jerusalem Bible for the Old Testament (it uses Yahweh's Name there) and I used the standard King James for the New Testament. Today, when I study a topic, I will have several translations and study sources at-hand. The King James is a great anchor-point, due to the vast study resources tied to it, such as the Strong's Numbering system. I also use Bible Hub for its interlinear versions and Hebrew/Greek Dictionary tools. IN the last couple of decades or so, Hebrew versions of some Gospels and other New Testament books have emerged, and I often check those, especially when the Greek text raises questions. On Bible Hub, there are many, many translations available. My eSword tool allows me to study without being online. I have located many translations and obscure manuscripts, which have been captured by the eSword team. Finally, when I attend sabbath services, I bring my RESTORATION STUDY BIBLE, from YRM. It's a King James Bible with a ton of study helps. Mighty shalom!

Matthew 24 : 20 Jesus said this just before His crucifixion. There wasn’t event another Sabbath to be had when He said that. MostChristians say that the Sabbath was done away with when Jesus die on the cross. Yet Jesus told them that they should pray this. At least Jesus didn’t think that the Sabbath was done away at his death.

@YahwehsRestorationMinistry
@YahwehsRestorationMinistry 3 ай бұрын
"Pay attention to Paul"...exactly! Regarding your reference to Colossians 2:16, Paul is not disavowing the Sabbath and Feasts, as often taught by mainstream theologians. Paul’s message is quite the opposite. He is warning those in the assembly not to allow the world to judge them on their obedience to Yahweh’s Word. Remember, they were all keeping these days. There was not a "new" testament, only the Torah and the Old Testament. This is what these early Jewish Messianics taught from. History is very clear. Protestants have no leg to stand on when it comes to the change of the Sabbath. This is an institution of the Roman church. “It is well to remind the Presbyterians, Baptists, Methodists, and all other Christians, that the Bible does not support them anywhere in their observance of Sunday. Sunday is an institution of the Roman Catholic Church, and those who observe the day observe a commandment of the Catholic Church.” Priest Brady, in an address, reported in the Elizabeth, NJ ‘News’ on March 18, 1903. The biblical record is clear, the Sabbath and Feasts were observed by the Messiah and His disciples. In some cases, years/decades after Yahshua’s resurrection. Below are several examples: Luke 2:41: “Now his [Yahshua’s] parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the Passover.” Luke 22:11 “…Where is the guestchamber, where I [Yahshua] shall eat the passover with my disciples?” 1Corinthians 5:7-8: “Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Messiah our passover is sacrificed for us. Therefore let us keep the feast….” Acts 20:6: “And we [Paul and company] sailed away from Philippi after the days of unleavened bread….” Acts 2:1: “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they [apostles / disciples] were all with one accord in one place.” Acts 20:16: “…for he [Paul] hasted, if it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem the day of Pentecost.” 1Corinthians 16:8: “But I [Paul] will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost.” Acts 27:9: “…because the fast [Day of Atonement] was now already past….” John 7:2, 37: “Now the Jews’ feast of tabernacles was at hand … In the last day, that great day of the feast, Yahshua stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.”

My presentation admittedly has a lot to digest. But I invested a third of the content replying to your point. Christendom has always observed a Sabbath of some kind, even until recently. Men with greater knowledge and insight than me, some close to the time of Christian antiquity, all of them, observed a Sabbath one way or the other. Yet Paul's statements were never interpreted by them as elimination of Sabbath. Therefore, when Paul speaks about Sabbaths and Feast days, his remarks are aiming to resolve our approach to the Sabbath, not its elimination. The correspondent from YRM, in your thread, can provide the rest of the answer. Kind shalom.

@@YahwehsRestorationMinistry Paul clearly uses a simple illustration here. He's telling us Jesus is our Sabbath. I guess you have to be a child to understand what a shadow is. It's not the real thing the person Jesus is. What's more important the shadow or the real Sabbath Jesus we worship daily. Col1:16,17 destroys SDA Sabbath narrative. I'm a fourth generation SDA and the SDA narrative is so wrong. They should repent and get it over with. In the Greek language the word mello, translated "to come," is a present active participle. It points to events into the future. Paul is explaining that the Sabbath and Holy Days, which the Colossians celebrated by feasting according to biblical instruction, had been given by Elohim to foreshadow future events-things yet to come. The grammar of Paul's statement requires this meaning. When Elohim first commanded that these "feasts of Yahweh" be observed (Leviticus 23:2-4), each event they foreshadowed was still in the future. Even today, most of the events foreshadowed by these festivals are yet to be fulfilled in Yahweh’s plan. To have the understanding that the Sabbath and Feasts were kept, then not kept because it is now a “shadow,” then kept again in the coming Kingdom is frankly absurd, especially in light of the fact that Pentecost (Feast of Weeks שבועות Shavuot) was the giving of the Holy Spirit kept by the Apostles in the NT. The fact that Paul even mentions these days as a “shadow of things to come” gives great reverence and importance in the Coming Kingdom and simply does not fit if your trying to use this particular scripture to support the Sabbath disobedience narrative. The "Shadow" of things to come means we only see a small glimpse by keeping them now but will understand their full significance later. Because these days are so important Paul instructs the Assembly at Colossae to not let those outside the Assembly judge them for their observance. The overwhelming early Christian historic evidence is clear. If you are trying to argue against it your going to have to explain why Christians kept the Sabbath for hundreds of years after Messiah. They apparently didn’t get the “memo” Jesus/Yahshua was our Sabbath as you claim. Please explain this? This is a huge problem with your narrative. I also find it interesting that Christians say you can keep “everyday” holy, except one day…the 7th day Sabbath. That is very telling. It was the Roman church who ratified Sun(day) worship in the early Byzantine empire. If you keep Sunday, you are merely following the Pope: “They [the Catholics] allege the Sabbath changed into Sunday, the Lord’s day, contrary to the Decalogue (10 commandments), as it appears, neither is there any example more boasted of than the changing of the Sabbath day. Great, say they, is the power and authority of the church, since it dispensed with one of the Ten Commandments.” -Augsburg Confession of Faith, Art. 28, par. 9. Martin Luther. Please give the scripture that says Jesus/Yahshua is our Sabbath rest? Scripture says the opposite. “The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath” (Mark 2:27). "Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a PERPETUAL covenant. Exodus 31:16. We are "grafted into" Israel. This Sabbath covenant NEVER changed only man thinking he can supersede the Almighty!

Yehovah is not the name of the creator. This is from Ketiv Kere (insertion of the vowels for Adonai.) We also see the insertion for the vowels for Elohim (Yehovih) as well in the Masoretic text. What this simply means is to read Elohim or Adonai when you see these vowels in the Tetragrammaton, not actually read the vowels "with" the tetragrammaton. Kativ Kere happens every Shabbat in every synagogue. The whole idea was to NOT read the name. Notice this from the Jewish Encyclopedia: "This pronunciation (Yehovah) is grammatically impossible; it arose through pronouncing the vowels of the "ḳere" (marginal reading of the Masorites: "Adonay") with the consonants of the "ketib" (text-reading: = "Yhwh")-"Adonay" (the Lord) being substituted with one exception wherever Yhwh occurs in the Biblical and liturgical books… The reading "Jehovah" is a comparatively recent invention. The earlier Christian commentators report that the Tetragrammaton was written but not pronounced by the Jews "Jehovah (Yehovah)" is generally held to have been the invention of Pope Leo X.'s confessor, Peter Galatin." The name Yahweh is not made-up by scholars as we hear from time to time. From Friedrich Delitzsch book Babel and Bible Page 71, we see translated tablets are from the time of Hammurabi (1750 BCE) in Cuneiform which does contain vowels with Yahweh's name. Keep in mind this is 3300 years before the Aleppo Codex and verifies the Samaritan pronunciation Yahweh and the Nag Hammadi, as well as the Dead Sea Scrolls Plate 378 Fragment 15. Would you please provide links to these scholars so we can verify your claim? I can provide links to scholars who think Yahweh is the most likely candidate. For example, kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oMeiZK6Cza2ZlIk.htmlsi=77JcZChd9So5z-WS&t=185 Dr. William Barrick states that nearly 75% of Christian, Jewish and non believing scholars agree it is Yahweh. the link is timestamped. I would love to see a similar claim on the other side. Yehovah as a viable option for the name of the Father is losing relevance by the day. Why? Because it is completely debunked by a growing understanding of the Biblical Hebrew language. Honestly it is only propagated by a very select few who ignore actual scholarship in favor of their own interpretation of the Hebrew language.
