What doctor would perform an operation to prevent someone from vomiting? It's a critical part of the body's defense mechanism.
@HollyucinogenАй бұрын
A lot of doctors, especially in The U.S., will simply just do whatever procedures and prescribe the medications that makes them and the medical industry the most money. She also would doctor-shop and move to a different city every time that a medical professional started to get suspicious. How this was all discovered was because a doctor started getting suspicious.

It’s called a Nissan fundoplication. My child had to have it to save her life. The stomach contents were leaving the stomach and going into the lungs. The operation was to stop that. It was a last resort as it’s a big operation and she ended up on intensive care. Even now over twenty years later it still causes problems. I can’t believe a doctor would do that to a child who doesn’t need it. Dreadful the mother put her baby through that. My daughter can’t vomit and it’s horrendous when she’s poorly. Witnessing that is just the absolute worst.😢

@@degatagauwatie4073Well yeah, she could have straight up believed that Satan was coming to take her son directly to hell if she didn't take him to heaven first, people do have wildly bizarre delusions like that when they fail to see the difference between their thoughts and the world outside their head. It could also be that she simply couldn't accept that the boy wasn't sick, she didn't want the thankless full job of taking care of a boy who one day won't need her, she wanted control, and if she couldn't have her own son, I guess she was gonna take him away to assert her feelings. Pride is when you believe yourself to be entitled, because you simply and solidly believe yourself to be something you're not, so maybe she couldn't live with the reality that she was the problem, not the boy, she had too much of her personality, her way of seeing the world, tied to that idea in her head, and surrendering herself to that truth may have felt like dying itself, and so maybe in fear, denial and petty pride driven resentment, ended her son's life as a way to assert her control over her life, for which her son belongs to her by her own innate right as a mother.

@melodyknievel515Ай бұрын
@@berrymint6384 I'm wondering if you interpreted "needing to be sick" as the commenter you're responding to thinking this boy needed to have an illness or something. The person you're replying to meant the feeling of needing to vomit and not being able to would be horrible. "Being sick" is a phrase people use when discussing vomiting. For example, if someone says "I'm going to be sick", they mean they're going to vomit. If you already knew that, and you're saying nobody ever needs or wants to vomit, you're wrong. Vomiting is natural, nearly every mammal does it, and it's a defense mechanism that can remove toxins from the body. I was hospitalized with food poisoning one time and my doctor told me that sometimes the best solution was to just let my body purge everything. She did give me Zofran to help with nausea, which I took, but after a while I found that just getting it all up made me feel better a lot quicker than meds did. In this instance, this little boy absolutely needed to be sick, meaning he needed to be able to throw up. And the fact that the mom made sure he was never able to vomit speaks volumes about why vomiting is important. She knew that vomiting was his only way to rid his body if the poison she forced upon him every day.

I think parents for over 60 years have been diagnosing their kids at the doctors office and doctors want to make $$$$ off of prescription medications and Yep surgery that is not needed at all and the redness around that boys plug needed to be looked at and just that should have made them take the boy away from that mother and now he is dead!!!

As someone with a rather rare digestive disorder that took years to diagnose… I have never once heard in my life of closing the throat to prevent vomiting. Even muzzles made for dogs are only legal if the muzzle is wide enough to allow the dog to vomit if necessary. Birds that don’t have that natural ability don’t have good things happen to them. I genuinely **could not** eat for a couple years and survived on liquids and high dose anti-nausea medications that put me to sleep. My body was totally emaciated. Never once, even in my own research during that time trying to diagnose myself, have I ever seen this operation even suggested.

They honour him in a way. To turn away and not watch is selfish - although not always a bad thing as one must be strong to watch; when im feeling especially sad i turn away and close my eyes to bad things and i only read about or watch when im not having a bad day So that man shouldnt be sad about watching. @montanabirdmommy2 ай бұрын
Doctors rely on the parent to be eyes and ears. Communication with parents is essential. But that surgery to remove ability to vomit was beyond wrong. They knew better and did it anyway, which is deeply troubling. Whoever signed off on THAT SPECIFIC surgery sealed that baby’s fate. It was a matter of WHEN, not if. It’s normal to listen to parents. It’s NOT normal to close an otherwise typical child’s esophagus for reported colic, reflux, celiac, or anything else and then leave it that way for years.

Um, I've had two times an er doctor overlooked symptoms with my child and I had to point it out to them. They were ready with their "it's just a virus" speech to send us home. One was purpura rash indicating a serious autoimmune reaction, the other was severe dehydration requiring iv fluids. My children could have died if I didn't speak up. To their credit, both doctors listened.
@bunch_o_racket2 ай бұрын
Doctors have to rely on parents to tell them symptoms and family history that the child can't tell them. They have no choice but listen to the adult in charge of the child. This kid wouldn't have even realized his mother was making him sick because that's all he knew his whole life. He thought this was just how life works. So sad and absolutely horrible.

My cousin did something similar to her child. Theyd been at the hospital almost every 2 days of his life. I don't believe that it was the case with gypsy rose blanchard. If you look into the case with her and her mom it was never officially diagnosed with dee dee ( gypsies mom) We only have gypsies word for it and her word and actions, especially since leaving prison leave a lot to be desired, so to speak. Looking back on her medical records it is understood that she did actually have real issues including the chromosome disorder. Dee dee was a con artist in the way that she used those real issues and played on them and embellished the situation to be much worse than it actually was for financial gain. It was never proven that dee dee actually did anything to hurt gypsy. Listen to ppl who worked closely with the family and are now putting out the truth along with gypsies actual medical records and you can see it for yourself. In her case it was a con and not child abuse or diagnosed MBP. Saying that MBP is unfortunately a real thing and many children sadly suffer.
