I actually believe that Huberman can be a bit of a dick to women, he's almost 50 and unmarried for christ sake...but a woman reading his texts and journal, confronting him about infidelity, deciding to have children with him anyway, constantly fighting, breaking up and peering through the windows of his home, raises way more alarming red flags. Some people bring out the worst in others and she might have brought out the worst in Huberman

I think the thing that irritates me is when people say he cherry picks studies to prove psuedo science for his own agenda - this is said about a man who is very happy to debate and be corrected, who will repeatedly mention if he's since learned his knowledge was mistaken and who is very transparent about how many studies were done on the topic and if they were done on humans or animals. We're not supposed to be friends with the man so what he does in his own time shouldn't reflect on his aim to teach and share information.

Assuming the allegations are true--- he's dishonest, unfaithful, manipulative, and lacking in integrity. Engaging in multiple simultaneous relationships without the knowledge or consent of all parties involved shows a disregard for the feelings and well-being of others. Which is utterly contemptible. He's an unethical little man. How'd you feel if he was playing those twisted games with your mother or any woman who you had respect for? You'd still like him more, would ya..? I think we have to consider that if he's willing to lie and cheat in his private life he's willing to do the same in his public life. I think anyone with a scientific background can listen to his podcast and find holes in some of the points that he makes. It's great that he's introduced science to a larger audience but also I think the article served a purpose by questioning his character as in the scientific community it's very split between whether he's a positive or negative influence.

Let's not jump to question someone's work based on his private life. Brilliant people can be awful people in their private lives, and just because his lifestyle isn't someone's cup of tea doesn't mean the person's work should be discredited. Nobody should expect anyone to be perfect. Plus, people find holes in published scientific work every day, it's normal and healthy, particularly in a field as complex as neuroscience. He presents valid evidence to support what he shares, and other scientists are free to present evidence that disproves what he shares. I haven't seen any reputable scientist discredit him, and I haven't seen Huberman shy away from correction or criticism from anyone in the scientific community. His peers and employer respect his work so he's certainly not a quack. What he shares on his podcast is free and public for everyone to critique and poke holes to their fancy. Also remember that the objective of his podcast is to share complex scientific concepts he and other scientists have learned and continue to learn in the simplest manner for everyone to understand and use to live and perform more optimally, which he has done exceptionally well.
