Being a blues guy, this is a fun non/pentatonic way to get familiar with the major scale.....I feel like once i learn this, i could probably sit down with any type guitarists/singer and get by....As much as i love the blues, beautiful melodies come from, this scale....

Wish I'd learned this 30 years ago. Just this morning I was figuring out how that I could use the different triads just on strings 1-3 to make either major and minor chords of each possible 12 roots, all confined in a zone of whichever 5 or 6 frets. It boils down to being parallel with what you're teaching here. Brilliant, thanks!

Thank you so much. CAGED has always been somehow mysterious to me and despite trying other times to learn it, it has eluded me. This lesson has really opened my ears to how it sounds as it related to the root notes. Great start for me to understand CAGED even more.

This is a great vision on soloing, song writing, chord playing... on whole philosophy of guitar playing. It wold be nice you to continue this video with another series - for example - the same vision for minor scale, for triads on higher 3 strings ( using only triads - not whole chords, and only on higher 3 ( or 4 ) strings - where main soloing work is going on), etc. I know that we can do it ourselves, but as a followers of you - it is our obligation we to push you to give your best in the process ;)... And you explain things so well... Thanks !

This lesson compelled me to quote the last line of the first verse of Rosetta Stoned by Tool about eighteen times. I won't repeat it here because it's slightly vulgar, but I definitely need some orange slices and some fetal spooning to calm down about the fact that I've been playing guitar for 19 years, have a degree in it, and never figured this out before.
