Its alot to know about 7th chords. Seems good just to jump in and play and learn what you need as we go. Thanks for everything.

I tried this out today, and I wanted to say that it almost feels like the reason I'm hearing the words with my notes is because I want it to say that, like people who hear their cat or dog say "I love you," but, no, it ACTUALLY WORKS at having you "sing the notes," if you will, with your fingers, like you're a singer, as you play the notes to the sayings you come up with, the words come out THROUGH the notes (the syllables/rhythms/patterns)! AWESOME! 😀 Thank you, Stich! ☺️👍

I played piano for around 15 years and I'm still decent at it. But I started learning guitar recently, maybe 6 months ago and I love it so much. It's a bit easier since I know music theory and all the scales/chords/progressions, but guitar still is a very different instrument and I'm basically doing it all from scratch when it comes to playing. A lot of hard work ahead, but I'm really excited, spending hours practicing each day.

That’s good instruction. I never think about any of that. As I play through scales during improv, following the melody just naturally happens. I’ve always been able to do it without thinking, but I’m not good at explaining how like you are.

I'm an intermediate and just started playing with jam tracks, I came across one a few days ago using E Dorian and I felt so discouraged because I didn't understand why what I was playing sounded bad to my ears (I was using E minor to solo🙃). After searching video after video I found yours and I feel so confident and understanding. I haven't deep dived into your channel yet but I'm really hoping you have videos explaining all of the modes like this. This was perfect ❤

Excellent lession. Exactly how my teacher is guiding me with triads, arpeggios, chord tones etc. Trying to stay away from the trap of Pentatonics and only use them when helpful. A fantastic lesson on melodic playing!

I had this concept early on. I totally get it BUT!!! You have to be fluid with the bar. Maybe, some day I will get there.

Thanks Stich !!! Great method.. If you need to find your way back to the right notes before the eggs start flying , strumming along to the beat with your fingers covering the strings also works but this method sucks if the venue is close to your audience The StichMethod ROCKS !!!!!!
