Yes!! So much, yes! I'm a millennial without kids, so I'm clueless about this: Do you know if they are teaching school-age kids and teens about social media and media literacy? Because I think that doing this would really help our country. If they aren't, then they should be! And it needs to start way before high school or college.

To be fair, "the economy" can be an ambiguous term. GDP can be going up, unemployment can be down, while wages stay stagnant and prices keep soaring. In other words "the economy" can be doing great, while you personally might experience more economic hardship. These polls might speak more to the unequal distribution of wealth in America.

Employers want to only pay themselves a living wage. Also, they have nice houses in nice neighborhoods. Nice vacations several times a year. Country club membership if possible. Employee owned places are the best scenario lately. Big corporations hiring overpaid CEOs to find ways to cut corners. Just to justify their 8-9 figure salary is killing the middle class as well as those corporations.

I do have to say that I volunteer at a food pantry, and we are feeding more people now than even during the pandemic. So while I am voting for Biden, people are hurting out here right now. Not everyone is wasting their money on gold sneakers and MAGA shirts.

The stock market is not an accurate reflection of the condition of the vast majority of Americans. Unemployment is down because more people than every need to work multiple jobs just to stay afloat, and people feel like we're in a recession because we have to pay eight dollars for a burger but nobody's getting raises except corporate.

About the economy, the average American doesn't have a grasp on the stock market, so even if the stock market is doing amazing, as long as Americans feel like they are financially doing poorly, they'll assume the economy is doing just as bad. If Biden focuses on the stock market doing well in this environment, I think that it might just backfire instead.

It’s not just the stock market, it’s every economic indicator shows we’re better off today than under Trump. Unemployment has gone down. Inflation has gone down and we’re handling it better than other OECD countries. Wages are going up and starting to match prices. But facts can’t change feelings.
