All jokes about the word bucket aside. It was really interesting to see an analysis from my main arena sensei about this system and why it is not the best choice after a rotation. I guess it's too much trouble to change the arena system to something more random during the first rotation set only and then change it back since blizzard is just a small indie company.

So trump, i did some quick maths and found that during the whole draft phase you were saying bucket about 0.1086 buckets per second. So every second on average you said one tenth of a bucket. (I rounded from the 9:40 time mark)

They only need to make it so cards can go up and down from buckets based on how many times they are picked over others. At that point they will have a near perfect grasp on how good are cards and adjustments become relatively easy.

I think that the stars shouldn’t be looked at as a rating, but like how common blizzard thinks the card should be in order to “balance” arena. By limiting the number of chances a 6 star card can be seen in arena, they can try to keep arena fairly (used loosely) balanced
