North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson (R) is the GOP nominee for the state’s gubernatorial race. Robinson, the first Black lieutenant governor in the state’s history who would also be its first Black governor if elected, has the endorsement of several notable Republican officials, including former President Trump and Sen. Ted Budd (R-N.C). Robinson has built a reputation of being controversial throughout his time in office, having made disparaging comments about women and Black people who vote for Democrats.

Yall need to read up on Mark's statement " I'd rather go back before women could vote" Of course it was only 1/2 of his statement. He was asked would he rather go back to the days before women could vote or back to when black men hung from a tree?? Mark said " before women could vote". This press now a days are pathetic

Both of those things happened during the same period of time? Black people are still lynched today. This is not even to bring up police brutality and killings. And black people have lost the right to vote in places like Florida. So for a black woman how would it be different? Both the question itself and the response are ridiculous

Women got the right to vote in 1920 I believe. Lynchings were prevalent well into the 1960’s in the south.

UNC is scrambling for ways to circumvent the US Supreme Courts ruling to not give enrollment preference to persons of color, yet these same virtue signallers are unsupported of a person of color campaigning to be the Governor?
