Sure that's true but I did go and look into it. It seems to have some merit however they are optional ceremonies you can choose to attend. Not the best thing, I personally believe everyone should learn to live together. But it's not exactly segregation. IDK where the colleges funding for these extra ceremonies is coming from. But they are private businesses and can choose to do as they please I guess. If people don't like this they should take it up with their school if they don't care it is what it is and it will continue to happen.

Exactly, the US _has_ freedom of religion. If you want to be a Mormon, or a Muslim, or a Buddhist, you can be. Everyone is happy with that, except for some Christians, who seem to think freedom of religion means everybody should be Christian. I don't understand how you can argue that taking away somebody's freedom is increasing freedom. Then again, half of the UK voted to have their freedom of travel restricted in a major way and believe they now have more freedom, so I suppose it's some strange neurological disease.

Because Christianity, at it's core, is incompatible with any other religion. If you're a Christian who lives next to someone who isn't, and you're not demanding that they join every time you see them, you're a bad Christian. It's not just Christianity though, all proselytising religions are the same way, but Christianity is the biggest and baddest here in the west.

I think this is a reference to Marvel Comics - The Avengers movie: Infinity War. But now I am dying to know: Did you like this movie, sir, or not?! I'm on the edge of my seat trying to figure it out! If you liked the movie - do the stones represent the destruction of the world so we should all be one people and not divide ourselves and just love each other and not celebrate our differences but focus on our similarities? Or If you didn't like the move - do the stones represent segregation and we gotta stay separated because everyone is so different that by melting the pot we invite assimilation which is like people and world cultures dissolving into dust at the end of the movie in End Game? I got beat up my 1st day of school by 6 redneck boys that were a couple of yrs older because I didnt speak English! A great friend of mine who was 15 in 1980 & black was kidnapped, beaten, hogtied, dragged behind a truck & hanged from a tree! Hell my girlfriend of 20 yrs who is black had a cousin that was lynched not too long ago in 1998! At best Native Americans have to rebuild and function well for themselves to better their circumstances and way of living to keep their lives moving forward

America was great when kids weren’t getting shot in classrooms, when both sides could come together and pass legislation, when politicians had a sense of shame, when everybody thought they could make a nice life for their families, when employers valued their workers . I know none of these things were ever perfect but it sure has gone down hill lately. Too much greed, and not enough love thy neighbor!

Blame the parents for not raising their kids right or not being around them enough or not giving them the attention they need so they wouldn’t do such idiotic actions. Then after that the schools and what’s around the kids or influencing them. More can be done on all fronts. Very rarely both sides would agree on major issues in the entire history of the Nation, so no luck there but it can happen. Politicians having a sense of shame really doesn’t do anything positive nor helpful. When they had accountability and would take responsibility is what you should aim for. Many people even today can make a nice living for their families, it’s just that with every generation expectations get higher. Employers valuing their workers really is subjective as that has been ongoing and really depends on the people running the business. I can agree with a lot of what you said but there are rational ways to create solutions and what you’re asking for is a constant battle for making those issues better

We are only “the greatest” by default bc most other countries are still against democracy and progressive movements meaning they never even get off the ground when it comes to understanding ethics, policy and the desires of their population bc they are too focused on controlling their populations but we shouldn’t be ignoring the things that point to us being not so great…. I.e Jim Crow laws, child labor, mass exploitation within the economy and mass incarceration directed toward all non-white residents, not to mention u know…. Slavery that still exists within that prison system.. we STILL have a huge power abuse situation going on within our police force and they’re literally the only thing protecting us from danger besides gunning someone down in self defense

@@Rock-gr8me It was a time of hope and change - America was on the cusp of signing the Civil Rights Act of 1964 - proposed by JFK in 1963 who called civil rights a moral issue. Americans are meant to look to the future and hope and strive for progress, innovation and change - not stagnate in some fictional yesteryear that never really existed. The founders knew this, which is why they created amendments. We're not supposed to cling to tradition, nor fear the future. Thus the answer to the question "when was America great" is always right now.
