I have a question if you don’t mind me asking can you remember if you had an issue when placing the upper hull to the lower hull I can’t seem to get the rear sealed on so it’s not fitting completely 😢 did you run into this problem ?

@@neilyboy79 Sorry for the delayed response. Yes I had the same issue. There is a gap at the back because of it.

Can I ask how you fixed this issue ?

Thank you. Didn't have any issues. The dirt on the wheels is Vallejo dark brown wash with mig ammo dark earth pigment dusted on with a brush.

This kit will be a bit of a challenge if has never done a kit before. It has about 850 parts. Lots of painting required. The basic tools required are sprue cutters, a hobby knife, and tweezers are really helpful for the really small parts. Some kind of sanding stick is also required. For glue I use Tamiya extra thin cement. If you can't find that you can use testors tube glue. Though that isn't as good. For paints on this kit I used Tamiya's xf-58 olive green for the exterior, xf-2 white for the crew and engine compartment. The engine is xf-56 metallic Grey and xf-1 flat black. The brass for the ammo is xf-12 gold. The ammo boxes in the bottom of the hull are x-18 semi gloss black. The transmission is also xf-56 metallic Grey. Though I use an airbrush to paint my models. Tamiya paints are not good for brushing. This kit will be a challenge to paint with paint brushes.

@@stoves92 Oh awesome!! Thank you so much for your thoughtful, in depth reply and personal thoughts on that matter! Very kind of you. I will be using this as a key reference point no matter what model I end up buying. He is 10 and been interested for some time. I now think it would be better to start with a smaller, cheaper one and see how he goes with that, see whether his interest in models piques or drops off and go from there.

@@martasavy7135 I would suggest the Tamiya 1/35 Panzer II f/g model if you can find it. It's cheap(12-15 dollars) and has a low parts count. Would be a good kit to start with.
