No idea why there are 12 dislikes under this video (and a few under other videos of yours). You are doing this hobby a great favour Andy considering there are less and less physical hobby stores around us nowadays. Shame on those guys hit dislike.

For me painting is something I look at as a bit of a chore, but the thing I love most are intricate, well detailed models with tons of parts that can keep me busy building for a while. This kit would be perfect, and you can bet I’ve already found it online and am going to be putting it together soon. As for the painting, I’m beginning to enjoy it much more after learning from your videos. Hopefully the day will come that I’ll enjoy both parts equally. Thanks for this new segment!

Painting is one of my favorite parts in doing models. Though i do enjoy kits that take a while to build. Have done a couple of 1,000+ part kits. Biggest being a 2,000 part panzer iv. Picking up another 2,000 part panzer iv next week.

I just found this Trumpeter line, I'll order the T-84m OPLOT because I already ordered a T-90, so the more "boxy" look in the Oplot will make it look apart more. Looks like a beautiful model, did you build this one? Is it really good?

I'm sending this to thank you. Being laid up on my back after surgery, I found your site. I think I've listened to every one of your segments. To make it short, I've picked up so many things especially for armor. I built a JSU-152 following one of your builds. Wow, it's awesome. I'm 60 years old and my first kit was a 1/72 Airfix Bf-110 that I built when I was 7. I'm told I build wonderful models, but watch you shows your never to old to learn something new. Thank you.

Great new concept. Showing the sprues is always nice, especially because it gives an indication of just where the number of parts are distributed.

Built this one a couple of years ago and had an absolute blast with it. The only point of frustration was the very futzy ERA blocks on the turret. The five pieces per assembly felt a bit excessive. But otherwise I think it's probably my favorite armor kit of the ones I've built.

I am currently building this kit and I can not confirm the "problem", that was discussed at 4:55. However it is advisable while building the turret front ERA armor NOT to follow the order presented in the instruction! The best way to start beginning from the center, where the cannon is and build up the ERA while moving to the sides. It is the best logical way as you are placing more and more ERA on the already placed ERA bits. If you follow the order in the instructions you will have a hard time to place all the bits so they fit! So start wit the ERAs near the cannon and move to the sides! You need to be extra carefully not to mix up the ERA bits as they consist of a lot of tiny parts, but if you do everything right everything will fit just fine! BTW: On the other side of the turret one ERA bit is also missing!

Nice looking kit. The tracks are an issue, a lot of work cutting, cleaning and gluing guide horns. Seventeen sprues. The first thing I would do is take a piece of tape, write the sprue letter on it and then attach it to the sprue so I could see it from across the table. Like the new idea about posing builds that "your crew" does. Thanks for the post Andy.

Hey Andy! Love your videos. But if I was to strongly request something, I'd love to see somewhat of a barebones model tutorial, where you make a large scale model of your choice, and paint it, weather it and put a nice finish on it but using only paint and traditional brush techniques. No airbrush, no pigments or other fancy stuff. And don't get the wrong idea, I'm not trying to see if you can do it (because I know you can) it would just give you a great opportunity to show tips and tricks to those who do models on a small budget, that don't have the specialised things, like an airbrush. So yeah, would absolutely love to see it and would greatly appreciate it. Plus it's a good video idea.

Have they updated this kit with new parts? I ask because I once had a look at this very one and was disappointed with the headlight guards. They were too thick and were only rounded on one side. These ones look good though. I tackled the Trumpeter T-72B/B1 which was the most complicated kit I've ever done. 1300 parts. It was a major undertaking and I doubt I'd do it again but I'm glad I did. It looks fantastic. Meng and Tamiya are more my speed. Trumpeter is coming out with some new T-80s in the next year or two I believe, which means Meng will be doing one. I would pounce on a Ment T-80, and probably take it to bed and sleep with it a couple of nights before building it.

Nice, another great one Andy. I am really enjoying the channel lately. As a bit of interactive banter, I was wondering if you know Bill Doran of Punished Props (channel). He has a video out called 'Modding and Painting a Nerf Blaster with Evil Ted Smith' where he shows some interesting techniques. I was wondering what you make of those techniques and would they be applicable to a project of your own?
