Didn't mean to alarm everyone. But it's just me and my fellow large horn collectors enjoying the sound of these monsters around the world.
My friends and I collect large ship horns. we occasionallyet then blast in remote locations so that we do not bother anyone... Sometimes since these are low frequency horns... The sound travels.
The horn I'm using here was not from a ship. it came from a NASA reverberation chamber. used to simulate a rocket launch. it is balsted in a sealed room with a vehicle that will be sent into space (like a satellite) to test its survivability. This horn is 1-1/2 tines louder than the biggest ship horn and can be heard for miles. it is powered by compressed air, pressurized at 500psi
