I just experimented with this last week and yes. Shipwrecks in lost shipment voyages do count for wreckers.

Shores of Gold curse can be cheesed now. If you have a second account (alt or friend who doesn't need to complete the TTs), then the other account does the TT with you the first time and gets the final checkpoint for the TT. Then when the second account has the final checkpoint, they leave, and you cash in solo. Then they come back and propose the final checkpoint again and then leave again. Repeat until you have completed the TT as many times as you want. You're welcome. ;)
