If you were to treat it seriously, how they had `DBS Future Trunks and DBS Future Mei` go to another timeline could be considered the same as a intro to how Xenoverse Trunks comes into existence. Which really is just a repeat way of Xenoverse Trunks being conceived since he already had that moment with DBZ post-cell saga situation, but they just had to milk his timeline that somehow still exists cause multi-verse theory, just to squeeze in a Ginyu moment and get us a full on Evil Kai while also pandering to a certain audience of people. Only to pull a Muffin button up Zeno card that apparently can summon Zeno even when he technically `never met Goku` in that specific timeline yet. At this point, DB Super alone has got so much material piled on it really could of been going still and focused on filler story arcs that could of focused on Hit, Jiren`s team, Universe 6, the Angels having to handle two Zenos and many more things, instead of being on such a long-winded `hiatus`.

Ohh 100%, in his timeline Trunks had the most potential out of any mortal that could have possibly existed aside from Broly and Moro…. Vegeta was much further along in his training and had already unlocked the first SSJ form by the time that Trunks was conceived, meaning he had the genetics of a SSJ passed down to him… this is why Goten and Trunk’s were able to go SSJ with ease.

@BladeSerph That was my thought process too. I said they could redcon it to when Whis brings future Trunks and Mai to the alternate time line. Supreme kai of time could intervene and give them the whole messing with time speech and then offers them the opportunity to come to Conton City and have them become time partollers.

Bro imagine if Trunks was in the TOP there could have been so many sick character moments for him. Him and Gohan would be fighting with androids 17 and 18 instead of against them. He would be fighting alongside Freeza who would recognize him as the guy that actually killed him. Plus with the super dragon balls he would have a shot at bringing back his timeline so he would have some solid motivation and could have had to choose between saving the other universes or his timeline.

No. Time *traveling* interferes with the timeline, creating alternates. Whis pulls back time itself, briefly, to allow for a re-do. No alternates.

Please explain, if you mean Future Bulma then they did it in hopes that the timeline would be rewritten and they won't be in a partially dead world by the andriods. Too bad U7 runs with multiverse theory and accidentally split timelines. Future Babadi was handled about as well as it could be so that saved a bunch of lives and Zamasu was technically Goku's fault for wanting to fight him against Beerus' and Whis' wishes.

This is why I can't stand super. We have characters who have too much high stakes involded in the story, who can be manipulated by stupid shit. This was never the case with Frieza and Cell and the non fat Buus.
