You should churn till butter comes out. Remove butter and drink. Otherwise its just curd with water.

Whatever the milk like fluid left after removing butter is called butter milk. Traditionally The Billona method takes out butter and the residue in the Matka is ButterMilk.

Not correct. Butter milk is residue of butter after churning curd. Not a mixture of water and curd.

@@ShilpiThakur-xq3jw add some butter milk/curd to creamy milk. Leave it for atleast 20 hours..add 2/3 times water, churn it, you will see the butter neatly getting separated and the residual is buttermilk which is plain.

Buttermilk made from the milk fat curd ( malai wali dahi) After churning the curd with water butter appears & the rest curd water is buttermilk.

First of all when you are churning, don't use any water and churn. U will get smooth and then keep adding 4 water cups and churn properly. In that way you will not see even the smallest lump of curds. Normal salt is also good. Rock salt is used where it is available. May not be much difference because of the location we stay. And also add Jeera powder for good digestion.

Of all the procedures and remedies suggested all of which had some issues, you have the right solution and the best of all. U r right bcoz. if u add water handling lumps will become even more difficult. So first churn the curd as it is for at least 5 mins to get a thick concoction. Then add 1 part of that thick solution of curd into a glass and 3 parts of water into it and stir again. U may add saindhav Salt and pepper powder in the glass while Stirring later...Now then u drink the lassi u got in the glass (1 to 4 ratio) ready

Buttermilk and yogurt juice are different things. Buttermilk is leftover whey after churning butter or cultured milk with buttermilk starter bacteria cultures. Yogurt juice is mixing yogurt with water like you do. Thanks for video and nice music

What you are showing is wrong...The name Chaas or Chaach(buttermilk)is derived from Sanskrit word Chacchika (छच्छिका), meaning churned yogurt from which butter has been removed. Chaach and matha are similar things....what you made is Lassi Not Chaach or matha.

there is one thing that u missed temperature. buttermilk to be prepar d in early morning before sunrise otherwise the butter will melt. in other days may be we can use ice cubes in a plate below the pot

This is not buttermilk. Where is the butter? The malai is collected everyday and curd is added to the collected malai to ensure separation of fat and protein. Then the malai mixed with curd is churned, not necessarily by hand but its pretty quick. What we get is fresh butter that floats on top and the whey that is left behind is buttermilk. This is just namkeen lassi, nothing bad about it but don't call it buttermilk pls

Inspite of of seeing the darker side always its better to welcome an Idea with the open heart if it's not unhealthy, there are many many ways of making/ preparing different many foods and people rightfully prepare them their own ways and to their taste, both mattha and chhaas are the same, do you think churning so much is any less than extracting butter, what she is has shown preparing is a perfect fit for your gut health to stabilize your stomach, not according to me but once shared by the best child specialist of our zone, when my younger boy was having stomach infection.

What ever you way you want to make butter milk or most probably we can call it curds milk you can make using enough water and as such there is no composition of quantity of water you add. Only use fermented or sour curd as it contains lots of lactobacillus

Ayurveda says butter is heat but you not take butter in that curd how it is turned buttermilk ? It is only break the curd 👍 mostly a small mouth utencils use better result 👍it is split it outside.

One more expert to tell you unwanted stuff. You can just xhurn in the mixer skim the butter off add however much water as per your liking. Add salt chilly or whatever your taste is enjoy.

It's also not a perfect butter milk.....curd which is made with only cream (meegada )after ferment or 2or 3 days after stir it with wodden churner then it form butter (venna ) repeat untill butter not forming on top then add salt mint...it's the traditional and made by grandparents ....

Buttermilk must be consumed without any additives, it has healthy bacteria that aids in proper digestion, adding salt kills that bacteria, purpose of its consumption is defeated. Also Buttermilk should be last part of the meal
