Your life resembles my life a lot in the manner that because of our health we’ve a lot of time alone to spend with God and we both choose to spend much of that time in nature, walking and praising God and talking to God. At times I’ve asked God why me, But there’s also times I feel so blessed and honored that God set me apart .. and he’s giving me this time to know him better.. and he’s given me this time to rest in Him.. perhaps God is training us for something much bigger, Matt. Perhaps we’re part of the remnant he will use for His Glory in these last days. Thank you so much for doing God’s will.. I needed to see this. God bless you.

I am glad you are sharing your testimony! God is awesome! That's what my mother said everyday of her illness. With Huntington's Disease she slowly lost abilities like walking, eating, and even talking eventually. It's a disease without a cure yet! It's close though! Anyways she always smiled and praised God and when she could not speak we would say "God is awesome!" And her face would light right up! She was used by God to show his strength in her weakness. At her funeral in Dec 3rd 2018 she actually passed Nov 21 in the hospice surrounded by her family! Anyways at her funeral after hearing the testimonies from family and friends two people were moved by it that we know of. One of them def got saved her nephew. The other one we don't know to this day. But he saw God in a different light because there was hope in this funeral not inconsolable grief that you see with the unsaved. Anyways her nephew Hunter is still reading God's word and a young Christian he's learning please keep him in prayers! Every second of the disease were made worth it when he got saved. Even it were only one person that God used her to show the truth of his love and grace! The fact is though she touched so many along her life, they were like O_O wow God must be real. Or they at least thought differently about her situation. In 2015 I was Diagnosed in April with the same disease after doing an early test and my sister also got tested but has no disease like that thankfully she has 2 kids it could have passed on. But it won't! The long story short is that she got sick around 35 years of age though we denied it until she was officially diagnosed. I am 40 in 2 days on the 31st and I am still symptom free! I thank God everyday for the time he has given me because I never thought that I would age up and be symptom free. The truth is a couple years ago I prayed to God and I told him "IF you choose to heal me that would be wonderful! That would be great! But if your will is to use me like my mother, then please help me to have grace and peace beyond understanding and strength!" He gave me utter peace about it since then. I don't fear it and I don't want to waste what time I do have symptom free worrying about when I will get sick. Some people choose to not have the test but I needed to know! God has helped me and my family thru tough times! Her birthday is coming up on the 26th of Sept so I am thinking about her more lately. I miss her but I know she's in Heaven and I would not wish her back here for anything. I can imagine her laughing, praising God, and walking! I mean wow! Right? The fact is that after this body dies that is what our soul is looking forward to! I cannot wait for the day! I really can't wait to see Jesus! He is my all!

when I step outside of my own wanting and put others before myself. Praying for others and helping others in need to the best of my ability. That is when I'm truly blessed by our father.

I am at home recovering from Covid. This is exactly what I needed at this time. God bless you Matt. You probably have no idea how much the Lord is using you to encourage others. I pray for your full healing but that the Lord will use this time of suffering to bring you closer and closer to him. I'm so inspired!

I found your channel by “Providential accident” . I can’t tell you what a blessing your videos are. I started watching this documentary yesterday and as I was sitting in a parking lot in my car watching, I started to weep. I can so relate to you, Matt. This video has been beyond encouraging. I’m beginning to take the time to seek God, to rest in Him, to claim His promises to His children. Asking in faith that I can truly BELIEVE them-lay claim to them when God has set my circumstances as He has. To recognize that ALL THINGS work to good for those who are obedient to Christ. Hello brother. Well I sat down and got cozy, as cozy as I can get and I watched the entire documentary of a week of your life. What I admire about you the most is your complete dedication to finding God's joy finding his presence living in his presence trusting God in all things. When I'm super sick I have no desire to read the Bible or really to pray. I'm just too ill to care. Not that that's a good thing but I've been living with this for so long that that's just what happens for me. And it's very hard for me to find joy when I'm so sick and tired and it's more than tired as you know it's utter exhaustion. Matt where you live is so gorgeous. all the greenery the Lakes the trees the paths to walk on, just beautiful. You know brother I am not saying the following to discourage you in anyway. please I hope you don't take it that way. I remember when I was a lot younger and I used to think I'm going to get over this. This is going to go away the Lord is going to take care of me and relieve some of this absolute exhaustion and the other things that come with it. But it really never happened and I've been dealing with it as I told you for almost 40 years. You are a lot younger than me so this might be hard for you to comprehend. But at 24 is when I got the lyme type symptoms and CFS. And even today right now I'm laying in bed because I don't have the energy to continue doing my errands. And I have found the same thing you have. That in God's beautiful creation of nature is always for me the best place to be. Not a city, not driving all over having to do errands that will completely wipe me out. I truly understand what you're going through as far as chronic illness. But like I said I am truly amazed by your heart's desire to be close to God in spite of wherever you are at. Thank you for making this video. I'm sure it will be hard for people to understand when you say I am sick because you don't look sick. And when people don't look sick or they're not in a wheelchair what have you I've noticed that people possibly think I'm complaining or that I'm not really a sick as I say I am. Because as you know it's an invisible disability. Thank you so much Matt for sharing a week in your life. It was very meaningful and I get it. I see that you posted this mini-documentary about half a year ago. It showed up on my feed today, just as I was about to leave YT. So glad it did, it was truly edifying to have watched this. I cried multiple times, laughed in parts (your heretic impersonations never cease to crack me up! 😄), contemplated on some things you expressed and connected with so much. Even with Proverbs 3:5-6, which has so often helped me when I've decided to quit trying to make sense of hardships and just trust in our Father. He sees WAYYY beyond our limited perspectives. We only see what's there in front of us, He sees the WHOLE picture! Thank you for being so raw and honest, with our Father and with us.

Matt, I have to say that while watching the doc. I felt like I was watching myself. I also have chronic illness and I've actually forgotten the things I used to be able to do before the illness because it's been so long that I've adjusted to being ill. I did go through a process and mourn the loss of those things i was able to do before. It helps me to see a brother in Christ struggle similar to mine. I spend time on my deck because I've got a little area of woods behind my home in the city. I've learned to appreciate the way the sun hits the leaves on the trees@sun set and how beautiful God's creation is. I feel blessed to have the time to stop and enjoy that. If I wasn't so limited I dont I thinkI'd let myself rest. I cling to God's word in a similar way to you, sometimes it's all we can do when even breathing feels like work. Looking forward to more from you.

Matt, amazing! I had illness almost exactly like you, couldnt read, socialise etc. Confined to bed for a year, then in a wheelchair. Long story short, God healed me after a few years, and later, I thanked Him every day for all I had been through, and all I learned. Well I remember first time walking, outside! I have not regained 100% strength but never mind. The lessons He held me to was " give thanks in all circumstances", even with tears running down your cheeks. Blessings and love. 🇮🇱🙏

Man sometimes I just can't take it anymore. I've lived the past 2 years being semi-housebound with an unknown chronic illness. I'm only 26 and i'm losing my youth and wasting it away sitting in my room. I'm living at home with my parents, keep quitting jobs as soon as I get them, and have never felt more rejected by God. I know He loves me, at least I hope. Please say a prayer for me brother, as i'm overwhelmingly depressed, fearful, and anxious. God bless you and I hope you are feeling much better.

I describe the good days or moments like a bird having the cage door open. When you have been isolated and restricted for so long you just want to get out and enjoy the moment because you do not know how long it will last. My friends always tell me to not try to do too much during these times, and they are right, but it is almost impossible to not try to cram as much into those moments as I can. Then, of course comes the crash that may take days, weeks, months or years to recover. I am now into my fourth year of my last crash after a short period where the cage door was opened. So looking forward to my glorified body. Come Lord Jesus is my daily prayer.

Just like the beautiful scenery there is a lot in this doco to take in. Many good lessons and reminders that its all about who God is. Thanks from Perth WA :)

Dear Matt, I am amazed that you are able to do as much as you do. We hate to think that our disability just might be the only way God could could get us to focus on Jesus, study His word and use the gifts He has given us to serve Him better. Speaking for myself, I know I would not have beeen able to sit still long enough to spend my time doing those things that are more important. I was such a “Martha”. Doing lots of good works but unbalanced. Type A personalities are prone to get this condition and I have asked God many times why lazy people don’t get it. I will never know the answer of course. At least not this side of heaven. Now I am more of a “Mary”. Would I trade it for a normal life? Not if it meant I would get too busy and unbalanced once again. It is wonderful to have another brother or sister in the Lord that has exactly the same struggle in their body. Wonderful only in the sense that we are not alone. I don’t know if you are familiar with Olive Tree Ministries but Jan Markell also has ME/CFS and to see how God has used her is nothing short of amazing. You can find her on Utube, Rumble and His Channel. We will not always be sick, tired and isolated. We have a guarantee from our Great and wonderful God that we will one day receive . In the meantime keep up the good work and let Him complete the work He started in you.❤️

Hi! I think I found you in a comment section on Instagram last year and we exchanged a few words. I’ve been subscribed for a while but didn’t start watching your videos up until today, when I was searching for how God comforts us. All of the symptoms you listed are things I’m struggling with too, a general fatigue and being burned out. In my case those are caused by depression and social anxiety, as a result of multiple life changing experiences. I’m currently 18, things don’t seem to have been good at any point in my life, starting early with emotional abuse in kindergarten, and parents who were arguing every day. At the age of 7 I could’ve lost my mother in a house fire (thanks to God she survived), but we lost everything that day and trying to rebuild our lives the past 11 years has been a nightmare with failure after failure, and obstacles at every corner. Last year, my dad committed adultery right before leaving us alone with all the problems he caused for us, which includes debts and bills we can’t afford. We lost our only source of income, our car got taken away, we can’t afford rent anymore, we’re ultimately left to deal with the consequences of my dad’s actions. The feeling of denial and hurt after being betrayed by my own father like that has really taken a toll on me. At the moment I struggle to see a way out of these issues, when everything feels dark and bleak; and just kind of surviving but not living, not wanting to be awake, finding ways to escape reality for a little while with movies or sleep. I also feel that I’m failing my family by not working hard, getting a job, or doing anything helpful at all, when all I can muster up the energy to do is get out of bed and make food. There’s so much chaos and noise in my head that makes reading the Bible very difficult, and my prayer life is virtually non-existent these days. I can’t seem to be able to form a coherent sentence while praying, always getting distracted and side-tracked, and eventually giving up on it. I try to assure myself that “He knows what I mean, He knows what I want to say to Him,” and “tears are prayers too.” But it feels like I’m just talking to a wall, or myself. I’m aware that money isn’t everything, and it certainly shouldn’t be anyone’s god; but the way things are right now, having money is the only way out of these things, like my mom being able to pay the bills, and being able to buy a car so we can get around and buy groceries when we need to. I hate being this pessimistic but it genuinely feels like nothing’s okay anymore, and I’m even struggling to rely on God. Everyone tells me to trust Him, and I try my best to, but how does trusting God and relying on Him even look when applied practically? It’s like everyone says to do it, but nobody explains how. Perhaps that’s a topic you could make a video about?

Wow, I'm only eleven minuets(which is where my internet stopped working) in and it's already so encouraging! I want to thank you Matt for letting the Lord speak through you. I found your channel I think maybe 5 or 6 months ago(I recently changed my own channel name). I was living for myself and not the Lord. I was so discouraged. Then I saw a comment that you shared on the Coffee and bible time channel. I read what you said and had to check out your channel. I thought maybe I could change, maybe this time it's something that will actually help me. I'm so glad I did!!! I encourage you to be patient through all. Wait on the Lord. Seeing days pass in the isolation of day to day activities calls for patience. I suffer quite often from impatience, and God always calls me to be patient. I get so urged to go, but patience is what God asks of us. Be strong and courageous.

Hey Matt, I have been following you since you first started, somehow I missed this video. It brought tears to my eyes as I felt your pain. I as also well known to this kind of pain. I have a very similar story to you ad I have mentioned in another one of your videos. I know you have come a long way as I watch your most recent videos. “God had this” all along… He knows we are unable to learn unless we go through the process. God really did and does a plan for you… You will be such an inspiration & encouragement to so many people, Christians and non Christians… I believe your honesty, your vulnerability will bring many to their salvation. My benzo withdrawal experience is rather similar to what you've expressed here, I still suffer quite a lot to this day due to years of substance abuse. Life can get so difficult, frustrating & confusing. It's been that way for me for the past several years. I heal slowly but some days are as if no progress has been made at all. I believe God uses it for my good, though it's quite difficult for me to not succumb to depression & despairing over life itself at times. Thanks for sharing your story brother. May eternity be worth all the hardship we've endured here.

I keep pushing through the tiredness repeating I can do all things through Christ who Strengthens me. I have one kidney, I'm diabetic and I have a fractured back. Maybe I need rest instead of pushing through and doing everything for everyone else. Idk I just want to serve others and not be selfish. I want others to see Christ through me. But I am always so exhausted that I fall asleep when I am still more than 5 mins. I'm a new Christian and my problem is I want to be fully Sanctified and not ever disappoint him and when I fail I know Christ had to pay for it. Its humbling Praise you Lord Jesus. Heal Matt give him full access to your unfailing strength and multiply his energy and your grace to him. Plant all your desires in his heart and let them grow like wildfire In Jesus name Amen.

I have the same physical problems I'm weak lethargic everyday I'm up 24/7 I haven't slept since March 16 when I was put under for a procedure I've been praying for 3 years for Jesus to PLEASE help me with my sleep I put in work every day I'm praying for 2 hours or more a day hour morning hour at night I'm trying do everything right and it seems like Jesus wants me to suffer with my illnesses I can't do much more then I do I've passed out over 5,000 gospel tracts and have a bible show for over 2 years I don't know why I he doesn't answer yet 3 years Plus praying for same things I look forward to my walks to clear my mind and talk to Jesus

Matt, I too suffer from chronic pain (its bad enough that im on morphine every 8 hours, not counting 2 others), I was not able to work, finances, ect ect., I guess you could say im your twin, but im a woman, lol. Hey Brother.... I came across your blog a few weeks back and was immediately taken in by the parallels of experience.... I'm not sure what your malady is... mine is Chronic Fatigue/Fibromyalgia... I was bed ridden or mostly bed ridden from 2003-2011... All the while having a deep commitment with our Lord and Savior... Been a believer since 1968,,, What you are doing is allowing yourself to be an instrument of God's Holy Spirt... I will attest to the fact your open heart is allowing Him to use you... and to date speaking exactly the same things I''ve heard over the years... Your message on abusive Pastor's is something I too went through... although mine got worse... they fabricated an atrocity in the end to defame me... I knew to much... That inner circle you mentioned... I was invited into... and was to be ordained to start a church in Niagara Falls area.... Once close to the decision making process I saw them destroying peoples reputation... and if they didn't have any ammunition they either went back to the BC days in a persons life, or if needed... make it up. The mind control they still have over a remnant flabercast me. The good news is... the attendance there has gone down from over 3000 to a couple hundred.... A Pastor (from another church), used to say to me years back when I was struggling with the day in and day out disappointments.... after listening to me and where I was at... as I walked out God's Word.... "Stay the Course".... You young man are right on!! STAY THE COURSE!! If you need a brother to talk to let me know... even though you are on the other side of the Blue Marble.... we are walking together with Him!! In the Love of our Lord and Savior... Jesus

Ever since I found your channel by a person's comment in one of the videos that I watched, I learned more that would help me grow in Christ. @MATT MASON Brother, I think the Lord sent me to your channel. I'm going through something similar now and I wanted to share some things I learned that has helped me mitigate the effects of low energy and chronic issues with staring at a screen. First some background: Over worked from my last job + the studying put additional stress. Worked very hard only to lose my job. Thank God I've got another lined up and starting soon (after 2 months of downtime the Lord gave me). Developed a weird situation where I can't look at screens for too long otherwise my eyes would get a burning sensation and often, it would end up as a panic attack. I had like nightly panic attacks (heart would beat noticeably) for months. This was all compounded by the stress of a mortgage looming over head. But this time of spiritual growth and the gain of proper perspective toward life's priorities - while I definitely don't want to go through it again or have it get worse - I can't say it wasn't for the best (with eternity in mind). Tips: But I do want to share some tips the Lord has shown me. Learning NOT to strive too much for this world bc when you're used up, the world will not be there for you. A lot of unnecessary stress sometimes comes from working against the Lord's direction for your life, toeing His line will make sailing smoother. For instance, I started pursuing a masters degree but I think the Lord has shown my quite clearly through road blocks and how much it had drained me, that it wasn't for me - at least not at this time or possibly in this area. It was like, no matter how much I tried toward one direction, the Lord kept pushing me away from it and back toward Him and His will. Therefore, I learned that for one who puts his faith in God lets Him direct your steps, no matter what situation you find yourself in, it's the situation he wants you to be in. There's a great supplement called biocomplete 3 - i think maybe a good GI tract and the butyrate (which gives you energy that you would normally produce if you exercised - for when you can't). I don't sell that supplement or anything, but it does supply me with steady natural feeling energy (unlike coffee). Using yellow tint glasses when looking at a screen really helps alleviate eye strain. I'm opting for an eye care monitor with my next job. Getting enough sleep each night (or even staying in bed for 9 hrs if I can't stay asleep the whole night). Will be praying for you.

You are so so funny. I cracked up a few times. I was so encouraged by your everyday life. You said at one time sorry it boring or something like that but I thought it was so deep and of God. Also I walked my doggie who had to go in the middle of the night and there you were in my ear walking your pup and I felt connected in Christ in that moment. Sorry if that sounds weird but it was really cool and gave me joy that we are all one body in Christ. I'm going to watch this through again and take notes in my journal. Nature is so healing to me and God speaks to me so much there. I am putting you in my prayer journal. As I see your updates and videos I will be praying everyday for you. I know what it's like to feel fatigue, anxiety and health issues. I spent my whole life living healthy and now I am struggling. I have a doctor's appt on Thursday to try to figure out what is going on. You inspired me to really connect to the Lord on a deep level again and trust in him. Keep the faith my brother. Jesus came to give life and life in abundance and that might look different for everyone and be in different seasons of our lives but regardless of what you are going through daily you are living that abudance. I went through immense pain in my buttocks and left leg months ago after my first vaccination. Only recently has God suddenly and without explanation taken the vast majority of the pain away and now only need to take an ibuprofen once in a while. I have a new sense of compassion for those with chronic pain and I thank God for the experience, as hard as it was, and for taking me through to the other side.
