Yes. Agreed. Douglas Murray is very strong on the theme of the death of the West. Its coming form within. My two (white) young adult sons at UK universities say it is absolutely happening everywhere in every lecture, any communication from faculty or administration. Then they face discrimination when they go and try and get a job where companies openly favour DEI candidates who are not as well qualified.

I've thought a lot about Hersh since October 7th, prayed for him daily and for his family. He is my son's age. I cannot imagine what they have all gone through and continue to. What incredible will to still be alive. But having been in high school during the Iran Hostage Crisis, where is any of that outrage - daily we had updates, even if the update was there was no update. I am a free speech advocate also. I think that it is our right to speak our mind in this way. But, I think that the students have crossed the line when they (1) harass individuals or specific groups that are present; and (2) occupy and seek to control spaces which belong to ALL the students. Regarding (2), every student on the campus is entitled to enjoy all of those spaces, free from threat or exclusion, and the administrations are failing miserably when they refuse to enforce that concept.

I am one of the 30+% American Jews who are not Leftists (most of those latter are ignorant of a Jewish law, culture and history, and appear to have made a religion out of socialism). I absolutely do not support DEI and do not want Jews to be a victim group under its aegis. However, I find it outrageous that attacks against Jews and calls for murder of Jews are sanctioned under some idea of “free speech” while legitimate, honest free speech is suppressed. There is certainly a line that could be crossed, but I generally agree with Heather that they are doing a favor by revealing how extreme their ideology is. I would rather it be out in the open for all to see than festering in the dark. I remember a few years ago when most were claiming the Brett Weinstein debacle at Evergreen was just an isolated event and not part of a larger problematic trend on college campuses. Now I just wonder how bad it has to get before anything changes. I hope we're close to the tipping point, but dems appear to be doubling down in their support of acedemia with more free student loan money schemes. There are the loud activist/extreme types on both sides and moderates and when moderates see cultish chanting for terrorists like this, it raises alarms that need to be raised. The ultimate solution is to bring back academic standards and rigor and drastically cut college excess by reducing or eliminating most of these useless arts and humanities fields, and put HR and admin in it's proper place in balance of power with the intellectuals of academia instead of them running the whole show. I doubt most of those chanting professors are in STEM.

13:49 - I’d say, ok.. no suspensions, straight to Expulsions! & any Staff that leads chants, protests will be fired, any staff that is participating in protests/ sit in but not leading chants/ speaking on stage will be temporarily suspended w/o pay until each employee comes before the administration to have a permanent decision made over future employment (including salary demotion for a probationary period, suspension for a semester w/o pay, etc)

Amazing interview!! I don’t understand why everyone is so afraid to hold people accountable. The facts are the facts & the future of our society is at risk if we can’t even diagnose the problem let alone try and suggest solutions.
