Once you add something in digital form it's impossible to delete it. Data is added like when you join something to physical material to your memory device( hard to explain but if you study how data is stored at deep level may be u can understand). It's truth but it must be hidden otherwise everything will collapse. I have observed from my experiences, we can retrieve our data after deleting it also. Read Dan brown's digital fortress novel.

Just one minor correction, email could support encryption (TLS) to avoid interception however it’s not end to end. It’s between the server and the user. It’s like SSL, but for emails.

No! Gmail is still not truly end-to-end encrypted, where only the communicators can read the contents of the email. It only works when the encrypted email is sent to a Gmail address. It's been three years and Google still has no updates for its end-to-end encryption tool.
